I wasn't a huge fan of this scenario. The map was quite small, making it nearly impossible to win via population. The farmland wasn't plentiful, and was not in easily accessible.) Most of the farmland was on "mountain" terrain, or whatever it's called. However, maybe there are people who will think this is challenging.
Have you seen how much time you have? (only 12 years!) Pompeii had more! At the beginning, I didn't mind it. But I waited to the wars, and tried as much as possible to forget the time limit and just concentrate on building my next housing zone as quickly as possible, but then I looked up and realized how much population I still had to get to, and I nearly freaked out!
Most of the map was rocks, trees and no more. In fact, it's the large volume of rocks that makes reaching population targets so hard.
I would have liked the map to be a little larger and better designed, I think that if this had been done it would have played much better.
