Map made for Julius but douable in Augustus.
I have updated the map after Commissar Marek's suggestion.He played on Twitch with augustus.Now the map has a time limit of 30 years and harder military and request! If you want to do even harder, make your own goals.God luck!

I am directing you to support my war effort by beging the primary supplier of armor in region Cannae.My scouts in Carthago says Hannibal Barkas with Carthage's rich merchants seek compensation for their land losses. With an army of 60,000 men and 37 battle elephants, he wants to march towards Rome through the Alps. It is next to impossible to carry out such marches through the Alps, but we must build up Rome's defenses equivalent to the army of ;70,000 legions, 40,000 foot soldiers and 16,000 horsemen. Your mission to build up the army.We know those attacks will destroy your city and his elephants are very strong and we also know that strong invasion returns often.Rome releases criminals and gladiators at your service to support in the army. Everything works without any issues.
Balance: 4
The intial time to set up a city before attacks start is more than enough, you will need lots of forts and some towers but attacks do come from a predictable area which makes it doable without issues. Economy is still too rich for my liking, would appreciate more restrictions with buildings or trade but its thoughtfully designed.
Creativity: 5
Again map looks much more natural especially with water than other of Marias maps i liked it. The area and events are loosely based on historical events which i like.
Map Design: 5
Its a bit of a puzzle map but not to an insane degree, even on Augustus i had surplus land to build on if i wished after the goals were compelted. I preffer to have choices though, i really tight puzzle maps are not my favorite so this is preferable.
Story/Instructions: 5
Partially inspired by historic events and irl location.
Additional Comments:
Propably most challenging map from Maria to date. Its good, could still use some difficulty tweaks but overall its good for people of most skill levels i think. |
