You have spent most of your gubernatorial life building great cities for Rome that rivalled even the capital itself in prosperity and elegance. You have risen as a hero of the citizens and soon find yourself contending for the throne.
Alas, you discover that your intentions for Rome, however great and pure, may not be enough especially when coveting eyes abound.
Not long, you find yourself a victim of political persecution by the emperor himself and you are forced to leave your very home with which you helped build.
Those loyal and know you well follow you whatever the future may hold. Their trust is in you to lead them once again to greater glory.
Scenario Information -
Our scouts have reported a promising valley just several hours from our encampment. Having a quick survey, here's what they have found.
The valley is surrounded by mountains and the paths through it are dense with trees and foliage, perfect for a defensive position for the unknowing invader.
The western part is where the fertile grounds to the valley is shortest. It is also easy to set up a harbor and begin sea trade. However be on your toes as invasions will be nearer to your city.
The northern part offers a good area to expand your growing city to. It has access to plenty of farmlands albeit located on a dangerous path.
The eastern part is where the local natives have settled themselves. Indications are that they have been there for atleast a century.
For the bad news,
We currently have no means of establishing diplomatic missions with the natives. Pacifying is currently out of the question.
Also, the engineers we have now are not quite what you are used to bringing along with your past conquests. Unfortunately, they can only build palisade walls and towers. But I'm sure with your caliber, this won't be a huge handicap.
A little caution, you cannot build any kind of tower in this map as the map editor does not allow differentiating between tower types. In hindsight, this is actually more fun and challenging.
And be prepared to be bombarded with lots of invasions.
Oh, and Caesar has not forgotten your treachery, so he will probably find any excuse to bring your head back to Rome.

@road66
You may have to get a more recent unstable version. I tried it with build 3.2.0.334 and it loads fine.
The stable version 3.2.0 is not able to load the game because it can only read ".map" files. Recent scenarios are now saved as ".mapx" files.
