You there,

I have found you out. Don’t try to deny it, don’t you think I know exactly what you are calling me behind my back when you think no one hears?
You and all the other governors you fraternize with; that pompous Baron, Jon the all so "Illustrious",
Marek the Gumshoe, even that improbable Panda and the overly-peppered PepperAnn; ALL OF YOU, calling me names behind my back!
“Goblet thrower”! “Big Cheese”!. PAH! But worst of all is “TOGA BOY”.

Had it not been for your reputable contributions to the Empire thus far, I would have had you in my dungeon by now.
Sadly, my advisors thought it unwise to rid Rome of one of its most prolific Governors in these troublesome times,
so instead I have decided you shall establish a most suitable settlement for me: a Penal Colony.

Along the coast of Sicilia I want you to establish a Penal Colony to which I can send all kinds of lowlife
I want rid of. Here, in this harsh environment I require a most effective colony to provide the Empire with an
abundance of basic goods. Make no mistake, you will need to sell A LOT of goods in order to amass even the slightest
bit of capital to finance the construction of the Colony. My requirements are as usually high, and while I admit my requirements
are at odds with the intended function of this Penal Colony, I see no reason to change my demands. we are Romans after all, as fussy as we are fickle

To give you the worst possible chance of success, I have sent word to every city in the Empire not to buy anything
from the Colony apart from the goods we are in need of. Produced goods are out of the question.

Furthermore, I have of course maliciously slandered our old friend Hannibal down in Africa on your behalf, so you can
expect an abundance of visits from his taunted armies.

Moreover, I have demoted you to the rank of Citizen. Sadly, seeing as you are not actually a “criminal”, I can’t go further and rid
you of your Roman Citizenship just yet.

Lastly, I have here a list of things I will NOT allow or do:
1. I will not aid you with any funding apart from the denarii I had initially intended for the venture, of which
I have given you all to start with
2. I will not spare you any military officers as it would be a waste of important resources. You are all doomed anyway
3. I will not send you any trained doctors as I wouldn't mind it if the Colony’s inhabitants were suddenly to succumb to
various horrendous diseases
4. I will not let you employ any academic personnel, they have better things to do teaching Roman knowledge in other regions
5. I will not let you decorate the Colony with gardens; I want every citizen, and you, instead to be bombarded with busts of my face,
reminding you constantly of your tormentor
6. I will not require you to establish the Colony within a specific time frame, (longevity is my middle name)
instead I look forward to watching you squirm in this desert land for as long as possible
7. Lastly, I will of course not allow you the crutch that is the plaza

Oh before I forget, please pay a visit to the little island just north of the coast. There you might stumble upon an
old friend of mine. It’s the Governor who last ridiculed me. I sent him to rot on that island and I hear he now fancies
himself “a true man of the wild”. And you will also see just next to that island, I’ve had prepared one just like it
just for you should you fail this task...

Now, let the fun begin! We shall finally find out "Who Truly is your Toga Boy?"

This map is not made for Augustus play, and for reasons unknown, it spawns with a blocked road to Rome in that mod.
sasa86 the entrance/exit is blocked by the mountain at the very edge of the map, the map creator probably forgot to remove them
Eraserhead Here’s a workaround for those intending to play this on Augustus. Load the saved game on Julius and build a stretch of road along the whole open space on the southern edge of the map and save the game.

Once you load the saved game on Augustus, the whole southern side will be open and passable. The road you built will be visible and cannot be deleted.
