Build a large city along the side of the Rhine river and defend it from increasingly difficult incursions. Farming may be difficult on the Western side, but some natives could be encouraged to let you farm on their side of the river. Beware those that would however disagree with the notion of being civilized.
There is a 30 year time limit on this scenario, though things really heat up after 25 years so be prepared to fight hard to defend what you have built up. No culture goal in this scenario.
I'm decent, but far from an expert on the game. I believe it is beatable on Very Hard but please put in a comment if this is not the case.

Everything works, nothing to complain about
A map of medium difficulty I would say. The attacks could have been (far) more intense, I think. A bit more could the old germans have done at these times ...(do I say as a german) ;) It seems I missed the real attacks in the end, when I read the description. ;)
I must admit, I played the map some weeks ago and do not remember all details (price changes, requests), but I nevertheless want to give it a review.
I like the idea of a fortress at the rhine. Much elevated land is always attractive, though in this case a use was not necessary.
Map Design: 4
The design fits well to the name with that many rocks and much elevated land. It is designed beautifully with the routes of the water.
To me a backgroundstory is not that important, it is short but alright.
Thanks for having created this map.
If anyone is interested in my solution, it can be seen here (Vanilla, very hard, hard around the immigration glitch)

Thanks for the review CIP_86. Appreciate the feedback for my first map published here.

With the invasions I was going for the idea that player would need to ideally beat the map in the first 25 years, or have a really strong defence to be able to make it past the last 5 years. Unfortunately I think because I knew where the invasions were going to hit it effected my testing of the map, plus the difficulty scaling set was probably more ideal for a player of my skill. That is to say not great.
I'm glad to read that you liked the design of the map, the high ground I did design as more of a way to limit the direction of the city growth and focus the direction of the attacks as opposed a place to build up. The lack of fertile land on the East bank compared to the West bank was also a way to force the player to expand across the Rhine despite the dangers posed by the locals.
Thanks again for the review!

Yes, getting a review is really something special here... When I look at all these maps, created in all these years, hundreds of downloads and mostly no feedback... very sad. I want to start changing this by giving reviews. Even if there is just a small group of 5-10 people who play and give reviews, it would be nice.
I have also created some scenarios, as you perhaps already saw. I would recommand them, of course. ;)
Especially the last one I uploaded.
"Unfortunately I think because I knew where the invasions were going to hit it effected my testing of the map, plus the difficulty scaling set was probably more ideal for a player of my skill"
You mean, you do not have that much skills (if one can say that in this case) in the game?
I could increase my "skills" and understanding of many small things in the game drastically by watching some videos on YouTube by really good players, since November 2021. It is not science, one just has to know how the game works.
The invasion on the other side of the river was of course scary in your scenario. ;)
