The year is 22 Bc. and Caesar Augustus sits on the throne, becoming the first Emperor of Romans. Recovering from years of civil war, the roman provinces are understaffed and in dire need of reorganisation. That is why the arduous task of pacifiing the rest of the Helvetiian tribes in Raetia et Vindelicia rest upon your shoulders. The desired outcome of your efforts is to settle lot of retired veterans in the mountaineous terrain and establish a colony, that is going to bear a name Colonia Julia Eqestris. Name which bears the family name of Caesar himself as it was by his hand that local barbarians were pacified nearly 3 decades ago. It is not expected, that local barbarians are going to be able to muster any significant force to oppose you, but some rebelious tribes are even now vocaly oppsoing any permanent Roman settlements. The site of the city is sich in veins of iron and tha land itself, although rugged is fairly fertile, being capable of supporting wheat and vegetable production. The city is supposed to become a busting trade hub to facilitate trade from Italia and Galia Transalpina. For this reason, the senate and emperor himself will not be satisfied with no less than overflowing treasury and impressive monuments to prove Roman ingenutity over the local Barbarians. Take good look at the land available as any mistake will swiftly waste the slim initial funding, generously provided from empires depleted coffers. One last piece of information is that available trading partners are considering increasing the available quotas significantly, so smart governor would allocate lot of denarii on opening as many of these routes as possible, when the surplus allows so as to maximise long term viablity of the city.
-Grand temple to Mercury, caravansarai and lighthouse with all the trader capacity upgrades selected.
-150 000 Dn in the city coffers at the end of the mission
-only use auxilaries or do not use roadblocks (your choice but one has to be upheld, residential walls over road count as roadblocks)
-do not send gift to Caesar for extra credit
-lot of time is available but be sure to open trade routes gradually, the quotas are surely to increase a lot.
-fishing can provide 3rd. food type for patricians
-water is an issue so you might want to utilize GT to Neptune, there are some reservoir sports and land for clay but they can be hard to see.
-pottery offers fair early game prices
-You can check out VoD from my stream of this map here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACgVGGOSg4Y
when i unzip it says "the compressed folder is emtpy" any help would be great.

Try using different software to extract or rename .zip to .rar hope it helps. Let me know if it did help. Baron_Von_PWN said using different software to extract helps him usually and renaming is due to me having to .rar then .zip manually.

I can’t get it to unzip properly even with different software. I would suggest just downloading a program to zip the file(s) again and reupload your map. (Try 7.zip, maybe?) The map looks beautiful judging from the picture and the story caught my attention. I would really appreciate it if you could make your map available by updating to a ‘proper’ zip file. I’m really looking forward to playing your map.

Hey Mephistophelex, ive done what you suggested and zipped the file again with 7zip SW. I had people be able to extract and play my maps before no problem so im not sure how this is possible. At any rate let me know if it did indeed help. Also take note that this is not my fist map by far and all my other maps listed in Scenario category can also be played in Augustus. For some tips you can check my VoD, just watching the initial few minutes should give you insight into some hidden things like specs of water for clay etc. Have fun with the map and i hope you play my other ones as well, they are often hardcore but i definately like them more than just another sandbox.

Thank you for reuploading your map... the extraction of the file, now, worked perfectly and I am looking forward to the challenge(s).
Be well ;)
