The politician and army commander Nero Claudius Drusus started his campaign against the Germanic tribes in 12 BC and you are part of it!
As a raiding party, your first task is to establish an outpost and defend it against the invading barbarians. Build your fort into an ever larger settlement until it offers 4000 souls a place to live. Even after the end of the campaign, it will be your task as part of the border wall Limes to defend the border of the empire.
Be aware that the empire needs both money and resources to wage the campaign against the Germanic barbarians and to punish them for their raids.
Located on the Rhine River, you will find enough fertile land to feed your inhabitants, but space in this river valley is scarce and must be used wisely.

Great map, where, like the last from this author I played: "Nemetona" the key challenge is space. Which always makes for a good map.
Balance: 5
Judged as a peaceful scenario of "normal" difficulty, I found the balance to be overall very good. Figuring out how to squeeze housing blocks on the edges of the map while funneling food from the central island. Along with judicious placement of bridges to optimise caravan routes all presents a moderate challenge that feels fair and entertaining.
Creativity: 5
No complaints, clearly a lot of thought went into the design.
Map Design: 5
Fantastic. The author definitely has talent and a flair for map design.

Interesting historical backdrop. However I don't feel it matched the actual gameplay. With "establish an outpost and defend it against the invading barbarians" as part of the description, I was expecting fierce resistance. In fact I experienced only very small native raids that took quite a while to show up and could be handled comfortably with a single trained legion.

Thank you for playing my map and the constructive feedback.
I see your point, that is quite missleading in a sense that you might expect some heavy fighting in the first years.

Just finished this. Fun. I agree with the last commentator - I was surprised when I completed the scenario without any invasions. I got one finally after I kept playing a bit, but I was expecting more invasions.
