Completed city of Colonia Narbo Martius by Marekvazny using Julius mod.
- Additionally No plaza, no military academy was used following with the map was originally made by the author.
- Julius mod was used for widescreen.
- force walker, lion defence was used extensively
- Finish with 20 year remaining
- Plenty of spare worker 250+ once immigrant finish migrating.
- Luxury palace was achieved using large temple and gardens only except for one triumph Arch.
- Prosperity of 100 was achieved with room to spare.
Thank you again for making all these awesome map Marekvazny, Felt a real sense of accomplishment finishing this map with Julius mod with how you original restriction for the map.
- i'll try add earlier save once i figure out how to add additional files.
Honestly the city is amazing. I find myself looking over and over again at the imaculate design. You played the map with the original restictions (no plaza, no statues, no mil. academy) That is a HUGE thumbs up and i bow to your efforts. Using Julius instead of Augustus from time to time, might be a good way to get some variety for you. City is very well designed given all the obstacles there are. There are so many patricians yet the money seems tight so i guess the choked economy did its part well.
-Some fertile areas were left unutilised as there was no need for the hassle of logistics i suppose.
-the earthquake turned out to be very cruel to completely cut off the fertile cliff near the docks.
-Fishing was used extensively along with many getting granaries and massed wheat farms in the north.
-lion tamers and auxilaries with tower support used for defense worked well. Notably no academy training as per spirit of original version of the map.
-many small casa as the pottery is limited. INSANE amount of patricians, living mostly in luxury palaces. With desirability chokes the large temples are used to perfection and show that they can be useful tool.
Definately a 5 all around. Great city showing exceptional governing skills.

Good i will check it out if it will get uploaded. Furthermore if it is not too much to ask. Maybe you could do me favor and give the map a review if you feel like it. Do not be afraid to point out inconsistencies as well. The goal of a review is not only to highlight the map for others but to improve it if there is something amiss.

after finishing my attempt I analyzed your city.
Wow, what a different approach!
The fast completion time is very impressive!
It looks like I need to rethink my usual city development that relies mainly on taxes.
It's amazing that such a restricted map offers so many different ways to complete the task.

Hi trolgu, after analyzing your city, i was impress how high you were able to keep your tax rate to. Maybe my next map i should attempt a no export run to learn more about that aspect. Most times after achieving financial freedom i don't brother with tax too much, i know stable 14% can be quite easily achieved but didn't know 25% can be used long term to. That's interesting

BigBear84 i dont want to intrude into a discussion, but for no trade map, check out Nullum tributum sine map. It has been created precisely for that reason.
