The year is 112 AD and the new emperor Hadrian commanded, that to safeguard the northern border of the empire, huge wall is to be built in the province of Caledonia. It is going to serve as frontier against many hostile tribes there and host a garrison of auxillary troops. Your task will be to take control of whole region, as the work on the wall has already begun. There are many scattered fishing villages and locals pride themselves on making beautiful pottery. The large scale extraction of clay and iron will be difficult though so your best option is to incorporate local sources into your economy and defend them against the Picts who reside there. Local force of auxilaries should provide sufficient early defence but be aware that enemy numbers are expected to ramp up exponentionaly as the pict tribes resent Roman rule and presence.
The starting funds are minimal as the emperor expects you to make good use of local labor to bring prosperity to the region. Market prices of goods are to be observed closely. Many colonies flooded the market with cheap furniture and other goods so plan acordingly.

-INSTRUCTIONS-
-Map is a .SAV file intended to be played as such
-You are supposed to build clay pits and iron mines only AFTER you reach 5000 citizens to represent being able to extract resources on large scale and to add little early game challange.
-Map has extreme ramping invasions. Im aware that some people do not like much military action so this might not be map for everyone.
Stay tuned for more economy-centered maps in near future.

-TRIVIA-
-clay pits and iron mines are to be protected at all costs as no more can be built until you reach 5000 souls in your city.
-take care of prowling Wolf packs fast and beware of local barbarians. No mission posts can be built.
-fishing and furniture can supplenent economy if you need additional income.
-there might be some useless starting buildings so steamline the starting areas.
-map is Augustus and Julius compatible but not balanced specificaly with those in mind.

-LOG-
10.07.2021 added 2 more clay pits and coastal fishing villages + some more density in the main area + 2 towers.
