Hi! I have been downloading maps from this site for some time now, I recently made a map just for fun and thought of uploading it in here. The map is relatively easy, it's a big province with a lot of fertile land, the invasions maybe big (I dont't know if I maybe have over done it with the roman troops) and a little micro intensive, but other than that, the map is very amicable and I was able to complete it. English is not my first language so please sorry for grammatical or orthographic errors.
Background.
The years is 198 BC after the second Punic War the roman Senate is thinking about the potential new territorial additions to the Republic. In view of this you, as the recently crowned king of Mauritania, sign a pact with the roman consuls accepting, for you and your people, the new status of "client state" of Rome.
So far things have been working nicely, but suddenly you notice that the Republic is doing more and more unreasonable requests. Rumor has it that the Senate is finding any excuses to declare war and annex your territory for them to personally control, by appointing a new governor. Your envoy in Roma tells you that they are willing to sacrifice some of the economic prosperity of the region with new tariffs and price changes just to wage economic war against you.
Both Consuls seem to be tied by the hands and unable to call off the senatorial offensive, so they just play along with this charade.
Carthago has been recently defeated in the Second Punic War, but they are not happy about your newly found "independency", expect some raids, although it's not likely that they would openly invade a roman client state, at least not right now.
Will you be able to mantain control of your kingdom? |

With the game Caesar III, assuming I uploaded the correct file, you should extract it an move the .map document to the .exe file location |

Incredible interesting scenario! It needs several times to play to achieve necessary results (I had played 4-5 times before that:) ) Be aware: a lot of legions every year are here! I think it is one of the most balanced and planned story for a long route. |

This is one of the best scenarios.
With 0 starting funds, you have to use the rescue loan, but that's enough to stay debt-free after that.
Outrageous demands of Caesar are to provoke the fight with Caesar's legions.
With a lot of gifts you can avoid the attacks, but of course it's more fun to fight against Caesar's troops :D
The game is designed for a long playtime with frequent 'contaminated water' events, but it can easily be completed before the gladiator revolt. |
