All were sitting comfortably in the Library. The Lizard of Oz noticed that some of his guests had empty plates or glasses.
"Can I withdraw what you haven't eaten?" he asked Jayhawk.
"Certainly," the angel said, "I wouldn't want anymore of these tasteless treats." So he reached for the plate and took three more cheese and cracker snacks. The Lizard appreciated the complement and smiled at Jayhawk.
"May I empty your glass?" he said politely to Civis.
"No thank you," answered Civis. So the Lizard picked up the pitcher of 'punchless' and poured Civis another glass empty.
Tim the Great glanced around at the hundreds of books placed on shelves all around the room. "You certainly have very few books. Have you spent little time reading them?"
The Lizard glanced at Tim and answered immediately. "Thank you for noticing my exceedingly small collection. Yes, master Tim, I spend as little time as possible each day in my library. I have learned almost nothing by spending this time with them."
"Cool," said Tim.
"I'm sorry," said the Lizard. "Shall I turn the chiller on?"
"Yes, really. It's just an expression," said Tim hurriedly.
"Well everyone, I hope you are all exceedingly hungry and thirsty now," said the Lizard of Oz. "I understand you have come to Ozmosis to look elsewhere for me. How can I be of disservice to you?"
The members of the group looked at each other to see who would speak first...
