Hi, I already played ceasar and pharao so i�m really a veteran in these game.. Now i cant place the avenues.. the ridiculous thing is that when its green over the road it make a strange thing and the money is taken but the avenue dosn�t appear, also the boulebards!!!!!! What I�m doing wrong!!!! Maybe it is a problem with my graphic card or what???????!!!!!!! Thanqyou if anyone can answer me THE GAME IS GRAETTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!

You can't place individual tiles of boulevards or avenues - you have to click and drag over an existing road.

I just realised that, while playing the tutorials - paving corners with the things is really annoying......

It seems you can place buildings alongside them and they get road access is that true??? Does it work?

Yep, no problem with road access - peddlers etc just step over the plants & stuff. Corners, otoh, are a real pain to do - they usually end up with me spending out heaps of drachmas on roadway that doesn't actually go down before I get it right.

Just whatever you do, don't make the stupid mistake I did the other day with the avenues and boulevards. I had a road in my elite housing that I was remodeling to make it look better.

What I ended up with looked something like this (r=road, a=avenue, b=boulevard, lines there just to take up space)

But what I ended up with actually was more like this:

Okay, now you see where the boulevard runs into the road instead of the avenue (as it should have)? No random walker would go past those points (kept running into shrubs and statues, turning around and walking back). I kept trying to figure out why on earth my gym walkers wouldn't go anywhere. I ended up devolving almost all of my elite housing while trying to figure it out.

Major, major OOPS!!

How'd you manage that? Don't you have to place the roads first, then the ave/blvd?

Be careful with the avenues and boulevards... I suspect that if you just click instead of dragging, more than normal cost for one tile is deducted from a treasury /and nothing is built, of course/. Once when I was experimenting with a corner of elite block (

), my treasury ran down pretty quickly... although it may have had a different cause. I'll have to look into it later...

No, you're right Baltic. If you just single-click an avenue or boulevard, the cost is deducted from your money ... and no end-result

It also seems that the cost displayed on the map for the first section of avenue or boulevard is wrong. It displays twice the proper amount for a section of avenue and three times the amount for a section of boulevard. As soon as you drag to lay at least two sections, the display is corrected. A minor problem with no impact on gameplay, but the closest thing to a bug I have seen in this game.
