Does anyone know what the highest population required in a single player level in Zues is?

I think it's about 5-7 thousand.

The final episode of Athens Through the Ages requires a poulation of 5000. The next is Perseus and Medusa with a requirement of 4500 in the last. Zeus and Europa has a requirement for 4000 in the next to last episode, so it is possible you might need higher than 5000 in the last episode to get 100 people in estate or better housing, one of the last episode requirements.

Yes, Zeus does not ask for big cities but allows them, and that's fine. I think that 5-7 thousand will be correct.

Jimacles, I don't think so... 100 people in Estates means 5 estates - that's just a small block, and it is easier to support luxury housing in Zeus than it was in Pharaoh or Caesar. Once you build all the production buildings - including armories and horse ranches - adding luxury blocks puts little strain at your worker population : about 80-90 workers are needed for a luxury block that can hold 10-12 estates.

I had over 6500 population in the last episode, and that would be enough to support 20 Estates or more (my count was 8 Estates and 11 Manors). Why, there were still 2 permanently manned triremes (200 employees needed) to reduce unemployment!
