I'm playing Caesar IV and the movement is very jerky and slow. If I move the cursor to the side of the screen, it takes ages before it does anything and then often goes too far. Also the characters on the screen seem to jump along rather than walking smoothly.
Also if I want to place a house etc., I have to hold the mouse down several seconds before it responds.
I am running Window XP Home edition with Intel Pentium 4 2.00 GHz 768 MB RAM Direct X 9.0 and NVIDIA GeForce 6200.
I've downloaded the 1.2 Patch but it's not made much difference.
I'm new to the game and find it very frustrating.
Thanks for your help

Many thanks for your help. I went on to the NVIDIA site to look for the drivers. It scanned my computer and said my current ones were up to date, so for the moment I shall have to put up with it running slow, it looks as if I need a new video card when the slush fund can run to it.

I wouldn't buy a much more powerful graphics card for a 2GHz machine if I were you. Maybe you can look around for bargain offers, but your PC is probably some 5-6 years old, and though for many purposes you may still be happy with it for another decade, be careful with investing in it much longer.
Did you already switch down all the graphic enhancements in the video option menu?
