I'm not quite through all the core campaigns yet, but so far my favorite is 'The Voyages of Jason'. I reserve the right to change that vote after I play the rest.

Edited: Unsurprisingly, I've changed my vote. I have been swept away by 'The Peloponnesian War'. It's my #1 now. It seems that each successive adventure in the list is getting more challenging and fun.

Actually, I have to vote for a Poseidon adventure. It is Two Worlds Collide. I had great fun figuring a way to finish the adventure in a way to avoid the earthquake. I can't tell you how much planning and replaying was needed. I had thought it would be possible, but making it actually happen was a great challenge for me. So for me, that was the best adventure of the series.

Since you didn't limit this to canonical adventures, I'm assuming that player-created submissions are also eligible, and in that case, I have to go with Nightwolf's "Lonely River" as the champ.

Edit I probably should say something about why. Dave's done many adventures, and they are all good, but somehow he hit a perfect balance in "Lonely River", between development and militarism. All of the various elements of this game are here, and they're just right. If you're new to the game, by the time you finish this you'll know it very well. If you know it well, you'll be well on towards mastery.

Just a tidbit to share, I recently contacted Dave to see if he would come back and build some new adventures for us. He's moved on to other games/projects now, but he did say he might consider doing some again in the future. We can only hope...

I kinda hated the Two Worlds Collide, very fun but the Earthquake ruined my city so I stopped playing it
How do you Prevent the Earthquake?
Oh and umm I really liked the Hercules Campaign

You have to finish the episode before the earthquake happens. If you can finish the episode in the month before the earthquake, then you go on to the next episode and miss the earthquake. As I recall, it required having quite a few elite houses evolve very fast. The big problem was getting houses the horses. So, I ended up having many small elite housing blocks with several stables full of horses close by. I am not even sure I could build the stables before the episode began. If that is the case, then you had to have lots of grain nearby for the stables. At least that was what I recall. That and having to play it many, many, many times to make it work. I remember finally finishing it in the month of the earthquake, and finding out the earthquake still happened - so back to try again and get the episode finished just a little faster. If you want, my saved city is in the downloads section I was quite proud of it!

I am sure the designer never intended someone to finish that episode fast enough to avoid the earthquake, but it IS possible...but just barely.

Since I am a huge fan of Nightwolf's & BobT's work, I would choose one by each of them.........I will e-mail David too and ask him sweetly to come back for a few adventures....he is so good at them

My choice for Poseidon adventures are "Two Worlds Collide", The Ladies Night series by Nightwolf and "Holding Earth" by BobT

I just finished Maggie's "Love Hurts", and reviewed it. What a wonderful gaming experience!
