Did you have the autosave feature turned on?It would be easy to restore the game from a most recent autosave history file...Though I know that many players like to turn it off to speedup the game...

Besides,from my experience of the demo,I think the game had scripted certain limits like how many requests you can made from a city or how fast you can meet a certain goal...If you did it too fast,there would be extra obstacles ahead of you,as in your case,that city can only supply you with 32 wine and no more.Always keep some extra space for gifts and tributes,check before you click "accept",otherwise you can choose "postphone" and build extra storage spaces,they'll try to deliver the gift at the beginning og the next month.

Ok... It happened the same to me the first time.. I restarted and have plenty of room for the wine... You only have to be patient.. sooner or later it arrives ok???

I think you also get a chance to postpone the gift for a month to give you time to get a storage yard up & running. Failing that, the only other way to get the wine is from Eleusis. You have to import wood & give it to them in large (16 plank) quantities. Eventually when you click on the open hand it will say 'request wine' rather than 'demand wine'. Cities will never give you goods if it says demand.
