Augusta Trevorium

Author File Description
File Details
Climate: Northern
Difficulty: Normal
Scenario begins at 100 AD - the time of the Trajan emperorship. While the war in Dakia is going to arisen, your goal is to block the East-North border of the Empire.

The war activity is moderate at the beginning, but be ready to handle the real invasions after 120 AD. The resources are more than plenty to achieve high results of prosperity (more than 90) and to build up the beautiful city on the Rhine!

Scenario is tuned in the way, that Emperor's opinion is not changed on you whatever you do. And there are no requests from Rome.

P.S. This is my first scenario uploaded here. I have a lot of interesting scenarios created 2-3 years ago when I actively played C3.

I wondered if it is possible to create 2-3 additional real places for the cities like Rome, Byzantium and Sinope at least. The availeble 40 scenarious are way enough but it would be very interesting I think to play in REAL Rome and Byzantium located on the map of the Empire.

Alex (played C3 from 1997).

Senseisan Made an attempt , whith the following criteria :
1) All houses at same level .
2) No neighbors ( no twinned houses )
3 ) 100 Culture
4 ) A single block of 6K guys .

Nice map ( for my taste , hey !).

Creating new cities needs editing the Empire Maps , in hexa , not so easy ...

Thank you for comment. Really good attempt. I imagine the development on this map in a little bit another way, but here it is the magic of C3 - a lot of ways of development and understanding of the same things.

Maybe I will try to find and release my old-created maps in the nearest future.

Senseisan Another more strange way to build a city on this map :

Criteria :
1 ) 100 peace whith no defence .
2 ) 100 culture.
3 )Over 4000 inhabitants.
City is build unreachable , as a demo on the four ways to build an unreachable house :
1 ) behind a row of trees ( the main part ...)
2 ) behind a row of rocks ( the N-W house )
3 ) behind a row of water tiles ( S-E )
4 ) On a cliff ( near the large temple to Mercury )

In this "disconnected" from Rome cities , you can see that random walkers and walkers forced by loops work properly , but destination walkers don't ( see the northern block , actors school don't release actors and the cartpusher of the clay pit can't find the storage yard ...)

Senseisan! Good analytics but in my opinion every single map could be built up like u did. It is nice trick, indeed, however VERY old. I suppose u may build up 10 luxury palaces in this city - I will try it for my own and will release file as soon as possible.

Here is my own attempt in this city (near 20 years playing). 9 luxury palaces and so on. No tricks. All is realistic and honest.
Senseisan And here is another ...

Not stable , I fear , as when filled the 64 luxury palaces may eat more food than available !

It's nice, but my personal preferation is to play/create REALISTIC cities with a minimum of tricks and without cheating. Your style of fullfilment is really interesting to evaluate the maximum possibilities of what could map provide to build on it. Thanks a lot for the enthusiasm!
Senseisan I am working on a custom map for 288 palaces , maybe fit the job , maybe not , but searching the limits , you can't avoid " tricks " , sparing as Shylock walkers and buildings !
