Greater Corinthus takes place after the fictional destruction of Corinthus. Rome decides to take another approach with the local barbarians, and instead of attacking them, try to learn to live with them. Greater Corinthus is a central and enormous province with tons of resources to reap. The small coastline make it impossible to fish, and therefore you must get your food from other sources. The meadows are small and scattered and many of them are located near barbarian villages. Their are 4 barbarian villages and one, that is off the board. The off-board barbarians will lead raids against your civilization every two years after the 4th year of the mission. Trade is a vast importance in this mission, and since farmland is scarce you'll soon discover that the you must import roughly 50% of your food or more. Clay comes in abundance here, and will be essential to your economic well being. Barbarians slowly increase and all attacks stop by the 20th year of the mission. At that point experts should have already won the game, medium-players should only need 5-10 more years and beginners should be have half the requirements left. Prosperity is not all too high, and only requires you to have a rating of 50, this city must show-up the locals in every possible way however, and needs a culture rating of 90. Peace is an easy rating, however The Emperor should want to nominate you for god hood, you must achieve an emperor rating of 99. Finally, the size of this province is unsurpassed, and will allow TONS of room for expansion, you need 16,000 people. Please remember when playing this that you are allotted 2500 DN, with recovery funds of 2500, spend accordingly. More advanced players should be looking towards a prosperity rating of 70, medium players 60, I've kept the required rating on 50 so beginners can play the scenario again in the future when their skills improve. Thanks and Have fun! |
