I don't want to play it again because of bugs. *
Extremely well rounded, set into a "lifelike" city.
Excellent challenge, AND winnable.
Lovely! Great historical representation. The deduction was from ugly housing blocks.
Outstanding content! Too long for my personal preference.
Pnut's personal Challenge level: 4.2
*My screen would repeatedly freeze for 1.0- 2.0 seconds (very aggravating) through the whole game. I've never had this problem with any other scenario. I'm not sure how, but my Barracks supplied my legions even without a source of weapons!! I would have given playability a 1.0 (or wouldn't have even finished it) with these bugs if I hadn't enjoyed it otherwise.
Central Province, saved map. You have 464 months (38+ years) to complete the targets. Based on C3 Syracusae, it is a great trading city with neighbors and natives. Heavy demands mid/later game play keeps you on your toes! Read the creators' description/story they tell you what you need/want to know. A lot of thought went into this scenario and it is captured well in play.
Required by Caesar:
Culture -------- 60
Prosperity ----- 52
Peace ----------- 55
Favor ---------- 75
Population ---- 6000
What made it fun:
The overall challenge of keeping up with Caesars demands and trying to get my population up! Creative thinking with dock placement and warehouse management; balancing contents so I could "sell" the items!
What detracted from the fun:
That darn screen freezing.
What makes it unique:
The overall layout and the historical "feel" to the map. Having restrictions on buildings made it harder to manage housing development, therefore limited house size. Mega-warehouse management!
My personal wishes:
Fix what ever bug that is that makes the map freeze! I would like to play it again without it!! Fix barracks bug. More coastline for dock placement. Let me start it from scratch. I personally don't like housing blocks that compact, I prefer something with a view!
