The city is built in the "don't bother" style (see Senseisan's city).
But at least everyone has something to eat.
It feels a bit like cheating, what do you guys think?
Has anyone made it without gifts?

The number of enemies seems to be limited.
At least no local rioter appeared in April 145.

Zipods Hi Troglu!

Thanks for the interest to my city made years ago! :)

As far as I remember my tests, it was possible to make all plebs in GI+all patrician in LP with 12 000 pop and required ratings (for 10-20 years stability, did not tested eternity though).

"It feels a bit like cheating" - what did you mean?

"Has anyone made it without gifts" - as far as I remember my testing attempt it was possible. However, you need to send the legions for distant battle for this and protect the city simultaneously.

"The number of enemies seems to be limited.
At least no local rioter appeared in April 145" - I uploaded your save for 145 AD and revealed that there is 999 walkers already on the map. And the game limit is 999, so that's the reason. :)

Hi Zipods,

Thank you very much for your comments.

It would be interesting to see your city. At what level did you play?

In your scenario, the city is completely protected from any attacks.
It is then very easy to collect money for 45 years without developing the city.
This could also be considered cheating.

Thanks for the walker limit analysis, what tool do you use for that?
Zipods Hi Troglu!

I always play on VH.

Maybe I will try to come back to this map and post an attempt with GI+LP only.

Your approach of "waiting on the other bank of the river in the forest" is OK, that was specially done to provide possibility for different approaches of fulfilling the map. In the end you still need to fight a remnants of enemy army. I do not consider this as a cheating.

However, fighting "honestly" with simultaneous development of the city which I prefer more is also possible, as the map is not super overloaded with the invasions :)

For the statistics analysis I use Trium's C3 / Pharaoh Utilities available in the Utility Programs sections (by Brugle). Very useful tool, I clearly recommend it.
LordAlesito Hi! I saw this city and looks great.

Zipods and Trolgu, now there is not problem with the limit of walkers with Augustus. I saw the completed cities you made with some maps (including mine) and you don't play with Augustus Mod.

I would like to invite you to try. There are awesome new features (optionals if you still want to play like original C3)

You can download here

Just copy the files in your C3 folder.

I'm in a discord server just for Caesar 3 if you like it to join promoted for GamerZakh
Zipods Hi, Lord!

Thanks for the proposition!

I already tried Augustus mode some months ago (before v.2 has been published). You need to understand that C3 community is rather conservative (and so I am).

The Augustus mode propose the revolutionary changes touching the fundamental game mechanics (like road blocks, global labor pool, management on building level, goods distribution,...) which basically convert C3 to another (and rather much easier) game. Also, there are problems of saves compatibility (both C3--> Augustus and Augustus-->C3) and some loss of graphical component when using zoom.

So till now I prefer to play original C3. However, I admit that changes of Augustus mode are great and a lot of people love them. They are just not of my personal taste.

The thing I would await very much (and it should not be so hard to do comparing to changes already done in Augustus) is adding new pool of city locations on the Global Empire map (like Rome, Alexandria, Byzantium,...). Or, in more broad words - some kind of tool to edit Global Empire Map: to add/abandon new trade routes (like it is, for example in Lugdunum, Caesarea career missions), to incorporate some mechanics of out-of-province army usage (for example, modelling some kind of civil war, when you crush Caesar's legions few times in a row, or possibility to defeat some "hostile barbarians" which may be done as the Emperor's demand (the same way as army for help of Roman city). If such changes will be incorporated, I would maybe change my mind and come to Augustus. :)

I see it exactly the same way as Zipods.

And please do me a favor and continue discussing Augustus in the Game Help Forum.
There are already several threads about this.
LordAlesito Understood. Thanks Zipods and Trolgu

Trolgu, do not worry, was just an invitation, I haven't intentions of discuss Augustus here. I just saw you and Zipods the "most" active player right now, and wanted to know more about you guys ;)
