An open play scenario centered on rebuilding the city of Carthage, this scenario incorporates Roman history up until the Umayyad conquest of the city, as well as a small number of requests based on certain events. I will probably update this in the future based on user feedback. I've slightly expanded the farmland and scaled back the starting advantage for the time being.
Map looking pretty good and very close to real one, but extremely unbalanced.
First feelings for what MUST be upgraded:
- 68,000 denarii starting money? Seriously? :) There shall be some challenge, better to reduce it to 5-8k start + 3-4k rescue.
- Farmland edge is like 60-70 tiles from those Agora mountain, which is supposed to be city center? How you imagine grain supply for such a distance?
- A LOT of FISH points too far from flat shore, the effectiveness will be very low (especially bearing in mind desert province, which need extra prefectures), so basically there is not enough fish for quite big city (like 20,000 or more). With such resources spread, MAIN city will be probably near farmland far from sea;
- Land trade points - too far from Agora city center. You will need to import some grain/vegetables/fruits for palaces, so better to put land points closer to city center, to balance route of caravans so they can sell 40carts/year of what they have.
Question: Is this map compatible with the original C3 w/o Augustus mode?
