Playability: 5
Very playable map, despite what the description says it is not that hard - if you plan carefully and a bit cleverly you will avoid both disasters easily. Check below for a vital "tip".
Balance: 5
Quite balanced if only Caesar was, again, sane! Unfortunately he is NOT! There is a workaround though...
Creativity: 5
Lots of ways to go. Easy start, compared to some other maps here. Lots of fishing, lots of spots for docks. Minor "troubles" in importing large quantities for some requests due to low population but nothing that cannot be overcome.
Map Design: 5
Excellent use of terrain, despite the "advertised" lack of trees a vibrant furniture industry CAN be placed, and easily. All you need to remember is a timber yard needs access but ONE tree to produce lumber! ;-)
The earthquake gives additional spots for iron mining (if you did not know this, now you know! The ONLY use those "cracks" produced by earthquakes have is that you can mine iron from them - have not tested them for marble though!
Additional Comments:
There are a select FEW of Caesar's requests that are truly doable without upsetting your whole situation. So, what to do? Fulfil the ones you can, mind your PERSONAL savings and send him some well spaced gifts to raise Favor where you need it. Other than that, check earlier maps for a tip on how to avoid gladiator revolts with minimal or no consequences! ;-)
