Congratulations Warcon! Sometimes the cohorts take forever and a day to return once they are sent out. Glad you were able to work through it!

they also will "never return" under this circumstance:
If you've not deployed them, one month from deadline it will warn you "one month".
If you don't send, the next month you will get a pop-up saying "you've missed a chance to curry favor" or something like that.
trouble with this pop-up is it still lets you select troops to send. If you send the troop, they will never return because the time to sent them technically expired so there's no "call" for them any longer.
It's a problem in the game - if you fail to send the required legions / goods, the game shouldn't let you send them when you get the 'failed' message box.

That certainly sounds like a game bug, definitely not something I've ever come across!

Agreed,
I've played burdigala for a very long time now,
mainly because early on i sent three heavy legions
on a fight abroad and theyve been missing ever since, probably 4 years now =S.
Im glad to see a confirmation on this bug though, I guess
Ill have to tare down my nice empty forts and hope to be ableto afford new ones, hardly likely with those rediculously frequent and equally economy-devastating "send 50 armor/weapons" calls.
