CBH Zombie Mafia

alive again

• theferret
• weavecaesar
• niempie
• ovidius
• centurion

dead again

• VisMaior (Brian M, From Music City Mafia) — beaten to death by an angry, yet bored group of villagers, Day 1
• Fiindil (Lisa Simpson, From Simpsons Mafia) — put down like an old sick dog, Night 1

• Darthbane (Townie from Shipwrecked Mafia) — lynched, or something
• Nonchalance (Death from Family Guy Mafia) — died (?) from an overdose of holy water, Night 2
• Watchwood (Paranoid Townie from Vannila City Mafia) — died from a self-administered Touch of Death, Night 2
• theferret (Jose J from the Music City Cafe) — lynched out of boredom, Day 3
• debbie (The Serial Killer from Shipwrecked Mafia) — heart stopped, Night 3

CURRENT TIME: NIGHT 3.

My rules:

- I use a "Dawn" phase to finish night and give me some time to write the
night scene, and send investigation results. No posting, night talking or night actions allowed. It's short, don't worry.
- I use a "Dusk" phase to finish day and give me some time to write the lynch
scene. No posting, night talking or night actions allowed. It's short, don't
worry.
- If I made a mistake, or if you didn't get an email, or if something
bounced or if you have a question about your role, tell me about it by email,
out of thread, not to disrupt game.
- You may change your nigth action once, but no guarantees.

- Nearly all roles have been taken from previous mafia games. One way to get
more information about the powers of your player is to check out his original
game.

Better scenario, the real cop comes forward and then they have a clear shot at the claimed cop with the sacrifice of one scum member, an acceptable trade off.

How is that different from the cop having a guilty on someone and coming forward to lynch the bum? he is outed - he is outed, 1 scum detected - 1 scum detected. Its copping at its full potential, I think so should be no "acceptable tradeoff" for scum at all.

If a scum player masquerades as the cop, and the real cop comes forward, then there's a chance we'll lynch the cop instead of the scum, or we'll lynch neither, leaving the cop open to being killed that night, especially if the doc protects the scum instead.

Quoted from Weave:

Wow us all with your account of how you always play this aggressive way at OD

Seems someone has been doing their research then.

Quoted from Weave:

Cops dont normally play uber aggressive. They may show an inclination to get to night, which is certainly what youve done, but they dont go after the same player over the tiniest of slips, especially if it is a day 1, so there's no possible night action.

The tiniest of slips? NEWSFLASH! It is all the information we have managed to get all game. The point of Day 1 is to hope for a slip up, and we had something that looks VERY much like one.

Quoted from Vis:

Lets see if he can supply us with scum first.

And I am supposed to do that, how? We started on Day, thus, no night actions. So the only way my role can be proved is by keeping me alive.

Quoted from Vis:

unvote, vot Findilii Your turn.

Great reasoning there, by the way. If you want to lynch a bandwagon jumper, Vis is the person to go for. Yes, he was also in on the CenturionZ bandwagon. Coincidence?

I will, however, UnvoteVote Vismaior

A bandwagon jumper who has not provided any reasoning for any votes? Seems as good a place as any to start.

As scummy as Fiindil is acting right now, it's in the town's bes interest to keep him alive (unless someone else claims cop, of course), at least for one night, so that he can investigate someone. Tomorrow, he tells us who he investigated and that person can confirm it. There is still the possbility that Fiidil just makes a random guess and gets it right, but I think at this point that it's a risk we're going to have to take.

Also, that's a good point about Vismaior. He's added very little in terms of actual constructive, useful discussion, and he has jumped on both bandwagons for very little or no reason.

lol I just reread the Once Upon a Time Mafia game and realized how bad of a player I was back then. Not to say I'm a fantastic plaer now, but I think I've improved at least a little since then...

Pff still not much going on here. This is surely one of the slowest day ones I have seen here.

I know, there isn't a lot to go after right now, because of the day start, but I don't think that going from one player to another for a roleclaim is the way to play day one. I think that it only makes it easier for scum to decide who to go after if it is finally night.

And in my opinion this is something scum would want:

It is now dusk. No posting, night talking or night actions allowed. Lynch scene soon.

"I'm bored," said Niempie.

"I'm bored," mirrored Darthbane.

"Yeah, me too. What should we do?" said theferret

"I suppose we could lynch someone. That is what we are supposed to do today, right?"

"I think."

"Not a bad idea. How about VisMaior?" asked Darth

"Okay."

"Now, just wait a min—" started VisMaior, before being beaten to death by a mob of angry villagers.

As it turns out, VisMaior (Brian M) used to work at the Music City Cafe, before being brutally murdered back in '05. He just waited the tables and coached lacrosse, that's all, prefectly innocent. Too bad.

Hey, at least you guys aren't so bored anymore.

VisMaior (Brian M, From Music City Mafia), has been beaten to death by an angry, yet bored group of villagers.

IT IS NOW NIGHT 1. NIGHT ACTIONS ARE DUE AT 12:00 SUNDAY. SLEEP TIGHT.

Lisa was asleep when she died. Didn't feel a thing. All the guy had to do was climb in her window and give her the injection.

Not much else to say, folks. Lisa, the second grader who lived on Everygreen Terrace (and liked to investigate people in her spare time) has died. Croaked. Gone to a better place. Passed away. Forever (this time).

Fiindil (Lisa Simpson, From Simpsons Mafia), has been put to sleep, like an old sick dog.

IT IS NOW DAY 2. 5 TO LYNCH. NO WHINING. I MIGHT JUST KILL ALL OF YOU AND CALL IT A DRAW.

Well, I guess I was wrong then, Fiindil was a cop, that's a blow.

On the plus side, only one kill last night, so id imagine that the doc got lucky? Or we only have mafia.

Does anyone have anything to kick off this day with? I would have asked Fiindil for a result, but now he's dead...again.

Yip, I too am quite surprised that Fiindil turned out to be cop. Probably the most aggressive cop I've ever seen. (Not to mention we seem to have the most aggro mod ever too! Something in the water perhaps. )

I'd agree that it's possible that we had a successful protection last night, although I'd hope that we'd be informed of successful protections in the (non-)death scenes. It's also possible that we have only one killing group, although that seems a bit boring: a couple scum against the town...

As usual, I'd be surprised if there are no scum in amongst those who voted to lynch Vis. Of course, not me. I am most suspicious of votes 4 and 5, Ferret and Niempie, which seemed to constitute a mini-bandwagon, a band-trailer if you will. On the other hand, though, I'd be interested in post-counts (yeah, I should really get organised and do that again), because scum could just as easily have sat back and waited till we lynched out of pure boredom and panic to avoid a no-lynch.

I guess what I am saying is, any of you could be scum and I don't know who isn't!

All hail street hobo, for he is mighty and wrathful!

*praises*

Seriously, though, I think Ovi might be on to something when he pointed the finger at Niempie and ferret. I had similar thoughts about how the whole vote pattern on Vis seemed a little construed, but didn't put 2 and 2 together.

Niempie didn't really raise any red flags on Day 1, but something about theferret seemed a little off. I can't really put my finger on it, but the way he was playing rubbed me the wrong way. I'm going to go back and re-read Day 1 to see if I can't narrow it down a little bit. In the meantime, I'll go ahead and Vote: theferret.

Also, what's up with the doc? We had a claimed cop, and the doc doesn't bother protecting him? That's a little weird, I'd say. And the fact that the scum actually went for the claimed cop seems a little risky as well, seeing as how it would (well, to me, at least) seem normal that the doc would have protected that player...

Lastly, why did da hobo first announce that it was day, then, 14 minutes later, declare who had been killed? Again, this might just be me, but had I been the mod, it would seem simply natural to declare who had been killed as dawn breaks. There couldn't be any connection between da hobo's apparent grumpiness and that, could there? I don't know, I'm probably over-analyzing the tiniest things and going paranoid, so it's probably nothing, but there just seem to be a lot of things which don't add up...
