This simple thread to wish everybody a happy New Year at V.Hard. This to compile the information about the scenarii I uploaded in the past months.
Frontier-Nekhen
Neb-Nekhen
Maad-Nekhen
Anedjib-Nekhen
Common characteristics
-all called Something-Nekhen, a kind of signature but also a way to find them altogether with a Search in the Downloads Section.
-all are military active
-all are events intensive
-all requests change the fate of the game seriously or definitely, so better to fulfill them
-the Kingdom Rating is a factor that has to be looked at closely
-all have a resources handicap a way or another and rely heavily on trade
-there is a clear link between the identity of the Gods in town and the aim of the game
-you will lose all games if you take them with too much confidence, but none is extreme. They are made to be tough but not repulsive
-you can play them at a lower level from the Menu toolbar, the only thing you cannot change is the initial budget as you are loading only saved games (.SAV) and not scenarii (.MAP).
-all have a classical frame, there is no absurdous attack or request
-Plagues occur but are not much game disruptive, the worst being probably the frog plague in Neb-Nekhen
-All start with some settlements, better to use them properly
Major differences
- Frontier-Nekhen lasts around 30 years, Neb-Nekhen more than 50, Maad-Nekhen around 13, Anedjib-Nekhen 10.
- Frontier-Nekhen and Neb-Nekhen are city building scenarii with huge monuments and palatial estates while Maad-Nekhen and Anedjib-Nekhen are survival ones with small monuments and a lower housing level.
- Frontier-Nekhen and Neb-Nekhen should see you short of money for a long while, resources are not a major limiting factor in Maad-Nekhen and Anedjib-Nekhen
- Pharaoh is not always on your side, in fact he rarely is…
About Anedjib-Nekhen
The only requirement is a Kingdom Rating of 100. Do not worry about it, if you survive the major libyan attack, it is done.
