I've updated right now the Chronicles of Wei v2.1. I'm very satisfied with the result: a city building campaign based on Japan, with correct english texts and mistakes fixed, therefore with a decent level. (Thanks to Gweilo and User3 respectively)
The interesting of this campaign is not the quality of the story or the well planned plot -there are jewells in the campaigns download section- but It is the nearest thing to a "Nippon Mod"* right now.
*(User3's name for the mod, and I like it)
-Japanese archipelago map (with a far Korea)
-.eng file modified so that Chinese leader names and towns are fully Japanese. I've separated in easy sections each list so that the campaign creator could easily find what she/he is looking for.
-Japan Mod map for widescreen patched games (by User3)
-.eng and MM.eng are being modified to change Ancestral and Daoist Gods for Shintoist and Taoist Gods, also to change Chinese historic references to Japanese ones, and little changes in a few buildings names.
The campaign in which the mod is included is moreless easy, not a challenge for advanced players, focused in city-building and politics. It can be found
User3 has recently upload a Japan map to allow people playing with WS patch, play the mod.

I've recently ended my campaign located in the origins of Japanese culture, and as these forums have been my only support to solve my creation doubts, I think that the result should be shared with you.
But, before do it I need to solve some questions and also if is possible to send the files to a moderator prior to upload them, just to receive a check and aproval, and if it's possible to supervise and repair my english text (as I'm not a native english speaker). So, in first place my doubts:
-The campaign works over a modified map file and with a barely modified .eng file. Both files are a MUST HAVE to properly play the campaign. The map, because the campaign happens in the Japanese archipelago, therefore, using the default map would empty of sense the trade routes and even the city maps. And the .eng files because some city names and leader names have been modified to provide the Japanese ambience.
As I've read in one of the post in which a user asked to provide a modified .eng text and it was approved always if the instructions were very clear in keeping the original files as backup, use the modified .eng, and restoring to default when the campaign was ended; my doubt is:
-Also, as I'm some kind of History lover, the campaign is not set as it is random, I've been working all the time over the actual Japan origins knowledge to provide a near-to-reality perspective (with just a little of fantasy). So, I've also created a useful pdf annex that contains the historical keys to understand the campaign, the characters and the missions. This file is optional, but adds a great depth to the campaign, overall for the historical lover player. As it's optional, my doubt is:
-I'm working right now in the background music and mission intro voices. The intro voices are in spanish as my main tester is my wife, so this sound won't be public. But for the background music I'm using the Mononoke princess original soundtrack. Of course, these pieces are shorter than the original tracks, but I know that the ost has copyright -even when the whole soundtrack is easy listenable in youtube- so my doubt is:
-And my main worry is about the language, I'm not native english speaker as you probably have already seen. And I'm not uploading a file with grammar mistakes. So my doubt is:

I'm suffering because I cannot use my pixelart skills to provided to this game the Japanese mod that it deserves, because there isn't absolutely anything out there that allows someone like me to modify .sg3 and .555 files and to compress them again to make them work in emperor rotmk. I know that this is a delicate subject, because for some reason the C3modder programm has been removed from the earth surface. But as I express in the pdf annex file and I will die repeating: If someone knows the way to modify these files and make them work on the emperor game -always respecting the law and the copyright- I promise to put all my effort to create the japanese culture graphics.
