Meanwhile, halfway across the globe, Jayhawk strolled along a beach in the sunset, wondering where in the world he was. He heard the sound of drums in the distance, and followed them. Soon he saw many campfires by a small lagoon.
A young man in a red sari approached him. "Welcome to the wonderful island of Hawaii!" he exclaimed, placing a garland of orchids around the angel's neck. "Whatever is ours, is yours."
"Actually, I'm looking for a friend of mine," Jayhawk replied, still a bit mystified. "Her name's Incontinentia."
The young man looked at him blankly.
"Governor of Londinium? Travels with an elephant?"
No response.
"A large, grey animal with white tusks, a long nose--"
"Ah!" the youth brightened. "You mean Ha-Kochee-Moi!" He led Jayhawk towards the campfires, and what looked like one heck of a stonking party.
Amid the throng of natives dancing, chatting, drinking and eating, Jayhawk soon spotted a large grey silhouette...underneath which sat his friend, drinking a cocktail from a coconut shell. "Incon!" he shouted.
Incon looked up. "JAYHAWK!" she cried delightedly, running up to him and giving him a hug. "Aloha!! And welcome to the wonderful island of--"
"I know, I know," he cut her off, grinning. "Erm...what does 'Aloha' mean?"
"It means 'Hello'!" she smiled, handing him a coconut-shell cocktail. "And...goodbye."
"Both at once?" he asked, fishing the skewer of fruity bits out of the drink.
"Well," she shrugged, "it also means 'How ya doing', 'Hope you're feeling well', 'How's the wife?', 'Surf's up!', 'Look out for that shark!!' and 'My big toe aches slightly'. It's a very succinct language they have here."
"Speaking of which...where exactly did Titanicus send us?" Jayhawk looked around at the tropical paradise and happy people.
"Who cares?!" Incon laughed. "I've been here for 3 days already, and I've learned a bit of their language, how to surf, how to fish from a canoe--"
"Hang on," Jay stopped her. "You only left Apolita's house yesterday." He thought about it. "Must be something to do with that space-time thingy Civis was on about..."
Suddenly a cheer rose up from the crowd by the largest fire. Incon turned to her friend. "Hey - they're starting up another Limbo! You wanna learn how? It's *almost* as much fun as The Lambada!"
"Shouldn't we think about getting back to the others?" Jay asked. Then the rhythms from the jungle players' drums began to get to him. This was a very interesting place, after all...
Suddenly, there was a shriek from the trees, and a bikini-clad girl raced out and towards the water, giggling. She was soon followed by Big Tusky...with a grass skirt dangling from his mouth.
"Stone the crows!!" Incon fumed. "I keep *telling* him to watch where he grazes..."
"Erm, Incon," Jay tapped her shoulder, "just wondering...what does 'Ha-Kochee-Moi' mean?"
"Oh - that's the name they've given me!" she laughed. "In their language, it means She-Whose-Hips-Swivel-With-Great-Expertise. I've been trying to teach them how to Lambada, you see..."
Jayhawk followed his friend toward the party. The gang could soon catch up with them...just as soon as they figured out how...
Meanwhile, back in The Olde Worlde...
