Hey Peoples! I have been wanting...for an EXTREMELY Long time to start my own storyline. I know because I am so...*loved* (So Humble, and Modest, am i not?) here, that this thing may not make it off the ground...butcha know what? thats okay because atleast I tried....ehhhh right? Trying and losing IS better then not trying at all...right? I dont know...but here, I'll give it a go...

***
Titanicus walked down a lonely road leading away from his home. He was heading to another City on the same Island, to preform for a panel of Judges. If he did good, he could get accepted into an enormous and very popular Theatre...the most popular Theatre in all of the Isles of Celtia. If he were to be moving to that Island, (the small Island off the Isle of Celtia, but still under its Rule) which was called Caitríona, he would get a large villa with his own Servants and everything. He was very nerevous, and he wanted to do his very best, as he really wanted this job. He stopped by the side of the road, and pulled his book out of nowhere, he then began walking again. He wanted to do the perfect Magic Trick to do... and he hadn't found it yet.

Does this sounds familiar? Eh? Hey I've used it in another story but its a good starter...right?

***
When it was his turn to present his best for the Panel, he stepped up onto the stage, and looked over the crowd in front of him. Suddenly, he saw a familiar face...this face he knew...from one of his previous adventures in Rome....he quickly told the judges to let the next person go, as he had to finish something else, first, and he tehn ran off the stage, he ran straight into the waiting arms of his friend:

Near some trees, Titanicus' wife and children were lying on the ground, their clothes staned with burnes.

Titanicus rushed to the ruins. He looked at his cottage. The fire almost reached the sky. He looked at the sky, and saw lightning bolts striking from a nearby cloud.
"What happened?!" he cried out. "What caused this?!"

Meanwhile Aplotia came to help Titanicus' wife and kids.
"What happened?" she asked softly
"I was making dinner in the kitchen, when suddenly, the ground shaked. I heard strange sounds and before I knew it, I was surrounded by fire." She said and let out a cry. Aplotia huged her and said "It will be alright".

Meanwhile Ish flew and landed near the group.
Titanicus returned and asked "What did this thing?"
Ish glanced a look at the burning cottage and thought of the only person that could have done this. Only one bad and expirianced mage could do that magic. Raise a storm of lightnings at noon, and direct where the lightning bolts would hit. "Only Deyhawk could do this" he said...

"...Who the flimmin' 'eck's *Deyhawk*?!?" Incon demanded. Tusky snorted his support.

"Well, we know a JAYhawk," Apolita commented.

Jayhawk looked guiltily from side to side. All eyes turned on him.

The angel sighed. "It's no use. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, my friends. That dark, shadowy figure we saw early in our adventure? Remember him?"

Everyone nodded (including Tusky).

"Well," Jay continued, "I suspected it might be him. You see...Deyhawk is...my EVIL YOUNGER BROTHER."

Everyone gasped loudly. (Tusky raised his trunk in complete surprise, and tried very hard not to burp.)

"Ohmygosh...you've got a *brother*?" Incon choked. Then immediately composed herself and couldn't help asking "Is he cute? (And single??)"

Jayhawk started to glare at her, but couldn't finish. He slumped his winged shoulders. "We started out as best friends. But, as the years passed, our interests grew apart. I wanted to travel the world, converse with great minds, meet new people, make new friends, learn new things..."

"And your brother?" Civis prompted him.

"Oh...he wanted to do something like, take over the known world, become Master of the Universe and the Most Feared Being of All Mankind, that sort of thing...you know how it is, with younger siblings..." Everyone nodded in sympathy.

"Well, THAT'S ruddy charming," Titanicus huffed, "I may have got my spellbook back - but your bro's just torched my house!!"

"Heh...sorry, fella..." Jayhawk looked ashen.

Incon stepped beside the bowed angel. "This is no time for finger-pointing! Titanicus - put that finger down this instant!! That's better. Now, Jayhawk's been a dear friend to all of us! Right? And what do we do with good friends in their time of need, hmm?? So, we're all gonna go out there and give his planet-destroying brother a whole BUCKETLOAD of whup-arse!!! Who's with me?!?"

No one moved for a moment. Then, Tusky raised his trunk.

"Thanks, big fella," Jayhawk whispered. Tusky burped.

Gradually, everyone raised their hands. Incon nodded.

"Right, then," she said firmly, "what we need first is a plan of action. We have to bring this world back to daylight, then map out a successful course of offense. Titanicus, Civis...any ideas??"

Hi Ish! Nice to see you back in the story threads! Titanic Guy: What were the names of your "wife and children"? I don't remember them or the spelling.
____________________________________________________

Before anyone could respond to Incon, hoofbeats reverberated through the ground as a final bolt of lightning illuminated in profile ten caped horsemen approaching Titanicus' destroyed cottage. Civis' sword left its scabbard once more as he placed himself between the two women and the horsemen. Jayhawk, sensing no good coming from these visitors and seeing Civis protecting the women, moved quickly to Titanicus'and his family's side. Cian positioned himself alongside his daughter. Ish stood where he had landed.

The caped horsemen pulled up short. One horseman, whose cape was edged in maroon, advanced his horse forward a few steps. Titanicus and the others heard, or more accurately, sensed a voice emanating from this apparent leader of the horsemen. The voice was rough, grating and tinged with malice. "I am 'The Messenger' of him, 'The Unconquerable'.
Amateur magician, take no action against us or your family shall die before your eyes."

Titanicus immediately glanced at Civis Romanus, knowing the warrior's penchant for immediate action. Civis was restrained, however, as he too understood the warning given by The Messenger and would not risk Titanicus' family's lives if other choices existed. He maintained his watchful stare.

"Deliver your message and leave," said Titanicus.

The caped horseman continued sarcastically. "My master bids you welcome to your home and family. He hopes your trip was without event. He invites you meet with him on the matter of the life or death of your family."

"My family is here, safe; your master cannot hurt them again!"

"So you say, amateur magician. My master thinks otherwise. He bids me to tell you the place and time will be of his choosing and that I shall bring this message to you when he feels it is in his interest to do so."

"Your master is a coward to send his slave and not deliver his message himself."

"Say what you will. His message is clear. Behold."

So saying, The Messenger balled the fist of his right hand and slowly advanced it to the open palm of his left hand. On contact with each other, his hands faded into a pulsing growing ball of crimson light. Suddenly a brilliant crimson beam shot from the ball of light striking each member of Titanicus's family, his wife and children, surrounding their bodies in glowing red. They faded from view and were present no more. Titanicus and his friends were stunned and motionless.

"They are with my master now. Heed my message. You will be contacted at his leisure. Enjoy your return, amateur magician." The Messenger elevated his right hand and directed the others to return in the direction from where they had come. All wheeled their horses about and rode off, The Messenger being the last in the group to leave.

Titanicus, now enraged, clenched his teeth and closed his eyes in concentration. In front of the horsemen the ground rumbled and shook, then split wide open. Not expecting to have their footing disappear, nine of the horsemen failed to stop in time and plunged, each and everyone, into the deep chasm opened in the earth and then sealed shut by Titanicus. Only The Messenger avoided the chasm. His horse stopped, The Messenger turned his unseen, caped body to stare at the Romans near the ruined cottage. He ended his stare then guided his horse over the now sealed chasm and ventured on to his master.

"Message given, message returned," hissed Titanicus under his breath.

Holy Moly...I go to school, and when I come back, my house is torched. Ugh, todays world... Civis, My Wife is Named Niagra, and my kids are Roisín and Senán. Oooh!Ish! Great to have you back! Welcome! Do you have a character yet? Get one if ya don't! We can welcome him in...he he he. Thats sorta funny--Ish, it sounds as if you watch the same shows I do. Just so you all know...Deyhawk, is the 'Devil' Character, on Xena: Warrior Princess, and Hercules Journeys...

Titanicus sat down...a single tear escaped his eye, then, he gain control once again, and he stood. "We...need to..see what our recourses are...this--could be bad..." He choked out, walking towards his home. He pushed through the door, and kicked a charred chair out of the way. The foyer of his once beautiful cottage, which he was now in...took a large hit, 'as has the rest of the cottage', Titanicus thought. The table at the end of the hallway, before the stairs to the upper parts of the house, was still in tact. Titanicus pushed some small rubble of the collapsed ceiling in, out of the way, and pulled open the drawer. He cleared a scolded vause, and wilted flowers off of the table, before setting a map on the table. He smashed the vause, and used the heavy peices of glass to hold it down...
"This," He said, "Is the Map of the Isle of Celtia." he turned around, to see the group, slowly shuffelling in. (Tusky stuck his trunk through a hole in the wall, to be stroked by Incon)
"These here," he motioned to some small lines, with a paralel line running next to it, "Are the tunnells beneath it. They, are the sewer system..." he waved his hand around the room, and pointed out the window, past Tusky, "They cover the whole Island. We could travel through there, to the Docks, without being seen." He smiled weakly, then continued, "I know he didn't make any direct trheats to our lives... but, I just have this feeling, that... that he is going to try something. I am sure he has some of his men..the people of the night...as lookouts everywhere..." he pulled another map out of the drawer, "Everywhere but the sewers." He set up the other Map. "This, is Central-Valley Island. It was...once a grand Island...many cities and large buildings...but they disapeared about 10 years, or so ago. Nobody knows what has happened to them...but, their ghosts are said to haunt the island, and the ruins left behind." He pulled the Isle of Celtia map back out, "They sewers lead directly to the beach, from there, we could conjure up a boat, and sail...to the Isle of Central-Valley."
"But Titanicus," spoke up Apoltia, "Why do we want to go there?" She frowned and moved from her father to Civis, and clung to his arm.
"Because," he persisted, "I feel...that, his people, and the Dark Lord-Deyhawk himself, will be there...somewhere," His eye let a tear trikle down his cheek, "With my family..."

***

Titancus led the group to another room in his home, upstairs...a closet. He pulled open the floor in the closet, "This is the nearest way to get to the sewer..." the group looked confused, their eyes seemed tos ay 'why upstairs, and not on the main floor?' and he felt he had to explain, "Its here...so...its harder to get to. Just crawl," he pulled a rope, and a rope latter feel from the ceiling, and into the dark chasm, it was attatched to the ceiling, and it gently swayed. "Down this latter, into the sewer...we...need to get some torches, for light though." he turned to Cian, run to the foyer, get me the maps, both of them." He said, then he truned to Jayhawk, "Can you find me some torches?" he asked, and then pointed down the hall, to a small indent in the wall, "Push on that...there should also be some lamps with oil...bring them too...please." He then turned to Incon, "What are we going to do about Tusky?"

Civis Romanus displayed an odd expression on his face. He did this whenever he was deep in thought. Finally his expression broke and he addressed Titanicus.

"I share your eagerness to find your family Titanicus, but I'm concerned we're moving too fast. We do not know the condition of the town on Celtia or its people. We have no support yet from prefects or the cohort stationed on this Isle. Also, I know you don't want to play "his" game "his" way, but The Messenger did say we would be contacted. One thing I've learned in military matters is that boldness is best applied after you are well informed about the enemy and know at least a part of his battle plan. I don't think we know enough yet even about our own. May I suggest we reconnoiter the town first before we try to go to Central Valley Island. And one thing else, we need food, drink and rest if we're to be worth anything to you at all."

Titanicus warred within himself, between his desire to pursue his plan immediately and recognition that much of what Civis said was rational and true. The others looked at each other not wanting to hinder Titanicus, but knowing they had bodily limits that soon would be reached.

Jayhawk offered some solace. "Your family is unharmed, Titanicus. Deyhawk needs them alive and healthy if he is to lure you and the rest of us into his web. They will be well cared for, though not happy with the circumstances. I truly believe this to be the case."

Titanicus further considered Civis and Jayhawk's advice and said...

Hmmm, that'll upset him. BTW, Incon, he's married

Titanicus reluctantly allowed himself to be convinced and they retired to the burned out living room.
"So what do you suggest we do now?" he asked.
"Well, you might want to see if you can locate some of your friends first. Maybe they can tell you when my brother arrived, where his seat of power is and what he's been doing apart from harrassing your family"
"Maybe you're right, " Titanicus admitted, "we don't have much to go on do we?"
Cian nodded and looked outside.

The rain had stopped, only to be replaced by a wind as cold and icy as a knife. Something was moving in the distance, a quirky unnatural kind of movement. Cian shuddred, he flet as if someone just stepped on his grave.
"What is it father?" Apolita asked worriedly.
"Nothing, child, nothing of importance" the old man mutterd under his breath.

Thank you guys for the welcome back. Whenever I don't post many replies here, is because I'm either sleeping at that time, or just have Important things to do.
Okay, this is my character- I'm a cherub, and I have small wings, so I can fly for a while. I also know somemagic, and sword fighting. Oh and yes Titanicus! I do watch Xena. That's where Deyhawk came from. When I first heard about him in the show, I thought it had something to do with Jayhawk . I'm thinking about putting in Hope and the Destroyer.

Cian felt it again, and made an odd expression on his face.
That small movment became bigger and faster as it came closer to the burned cottage.
Titanicus thought for a moment and said "I have some friends who know about things like where could Deyhawk be". He swung his finger in circels and a small map appeared.
He pointed at a small island which was attached to two more islands. "This is Isle of Celtia. The two more Islands are Teodoir Island and Arainn. There is an old mage there who can help us" Titanicus finsihed, and the map disappeared.
"Alright, but how will we get there?" Jayhawk asked.

The small figure became larger.
Incon looked angry at Tusky "Tusky, have you invaited some of your friends here?". Tusky burped.
"That thing seems bigger than and elephant Incon" Civis frowened. The thing stopped. It looked like an elephant, but it was bigger. It was followed by a red shadow. It trumpet and then said "I'm here to keep you inside this house. Orders from O great Deyhawk and his servent Calistro...

Civis bent down and picked up a small smooth stone and tossed it to Ishaius. "Better use this on your sword's edge. You may need it soon." Then he walked over to the opening that had been a window to get a closer look at what was outside.

"Deyhawk who, you offspring of a brainless bird!" shouted the Roman.

"How dare you address us this way you little, little man! The great Deyhawk is sure to deal with you most harshly."

"Why him, haven't you the biceps or the brain to do it yourself, you slobbering slave. Are your eyes so crossed you can't see the door in front of you. It's wide open. Should I spell "open" for you?!"

"CIVIS!" screeched Apolita. "What ARE you doing?! You WANT them to come in here?

"Quiet Apolita, I know what I'm doing. All of you go upstairs right away. Use the escape tunnel into the piping system. NOW!" Expressions of understanding began to appear on the collective faces of the group.

"What about Tusky?" asked Incon.

"They don't want Tusky, Incon. Send him away on his own. Titanicus will conjure him to us when it's time." Incon quickly gave her instructions to Tusky. BT took off for the woods behind the house. As expected, the would-be jailors in front paid no attention to the elephant. The creature was not a part of their instructions. All but Civis went upstairs, made their way to the secret exit and found themselves, after climbing down the laddered shaft, to be in the underground world of the Celtia pipe system.

Civis made his way back to the window once more. "Are you still there, tool of stupidity?" The great creature now manifested itself-a giant ox, larger than Tusky, blanketed by a thick coat of hair, the edges of which barely missed the ground. By its side a seven-foot giant dressed in a wine red gown and cape. It was the giant who had returned Civis' taunts.

"I am here, weakling."

"I'm so surprised," taunted Civis, "I didn't think you'd know where you were, you and your hairbound goat!"

"Enough! You will exit and face us now, or we will extract you from there by your neck! You have one minute..."

Civis turned and ran up the stairs to the secret exit and down the laddered shaft in far less time than the minute allowed. He was into the pipe system just a few steps behind his friends in what seemed to them only a few moments after they had themselves escaped.

The giant said strange words to the ox. The creature snorted, bellowed, lowered its head, charged and crashed into what was left of the entrance to the cottage. The entire structure collapsed upon itself. The secrect exit was obliterated and the laddered shaft shattered beyond recognition.

"They're gone!" said the giant. How did they escape?" The ox lifted its horned head and looked stupidly at the giant. The giant wondered how he would explain this to "The Unconquerable."

The crash of the house was heard even underground. "Sorry about the cottage, Titanicus," said Civis. The magician merely shrugged his shoulders. The group pressed on with torches alone illuminating the underground passage.

"Married?? You're *sure* he's married?!?" Incon demanded.

"Oh, Incon..." Jayhawk sighed, "how many times to do I have to tell you? My Evil Younger Brother is...*attached*!!"

Incon looked glum. "Oh, poot..." she sighed.

"What's the problem, dear?" Apolita joined her at her side.

"Well...it's just that, all the good-looking ones are either married or dating gladiators! I'll NEVER find a mate!!" Incon cried. Apolita nodded in sympathy and put an arm around the governor's shoulders.

"You wouldn't want him anyway," Jayhawk tried to assure her, "he's bent on world domination."

"Well...is *that* so bad??" Incon huffed.

Everyone gasped in shock.

"I only mean...at least it means he's got a steady job!" Incon insisted. "What more could a girl ask of a suitable beau?"

Jayhawk cocked an eyebrow at her, and continued down the tunnel.

"I want Tusky..." Incon mumbled.

"You may have him soon," Civis, at the head of the party, announced. They were reaching the end of the underground passage, at the end of which could be seen a waving elephant's trunk.

"Is that him??" Incon demanded. "Tusky? Tusky! Here, big fella! C'mere, good boy!!" The party ran towards the end of the tunnel, and the breaking dawn, and the waiting elephant...

...Before Incon could run to her big pet, fire apperared from the sky, and a black hole opened. A large gohst came out. He was dressed with a black robe, it hide his face and legs. The gohst flew toward Tusky. Tusky looked scared, and in a second the gohst raised the elephant with black magic.
Tusky enjoyed experiencing the feeling of flying.
The gohst laughed and disappeared with the elephant.
Incon opened her mouth. It was open for a second,
and then she screamed:
"TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssssssskkkkkkkkkkkkkyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Incon fainted and Jayhawk quickly caught her.

"What was that?" Aplotia mumbled.
Jayhawk sighed. "That was my brother".

"It seems like he doesn't like elephants" Cian chuckled.

"What are we going to do now?" Civis asked.

Titanicus flipped pages in his book. He read a bit of it and said "I can try and teleport us out of here, but I will need some help. It will take some power to take us all through the gate".
Ish stopped sharping his sword, and suggested "Those of us who know magic can help you Titanicus"
Titanicus nodded.

"But we don't need it right now" Civis said.
The giant and the ox arrived where Tusky disappeared.
"Ya thought you could get away di'nt ya?" the giant had an evil grin on his face and he laughed.
Civis looked at the giant and said "Maybe we should use that magic"...

"Are you okay?" Jayhwhawk asked the young governor.
"I think so...where's Tusky?"
She struggled upwards.
"Shh, calm down. My brother took him away."
"He what!" Incon looked at the angel and her eyes started blazing.
"He took my woozy-poozy waby-baby? That does it, no more Ms. Nice Girl."

She pushed herself out of Jayhawks hold and strode towards the exit of the tunnel.
"Incon?" Civis warned.
"What!"
"There's a giant."
"I don't give a flying hoot about that giant, I want my elephant back."

Then she was out side and bumped into the giant's hairy leg.
"What do you think you...."
Incontinentia looked up, and up, and up...and higher still until she saw the giant's leer some 40'above her.
"Err..."

The giant slammed his club down.
"Jayhawk!" she shouted.

If not for inate nimbleness, Incontinentia would have experienced a much shorter political career. Her quick side step helped her avoid the worst of the impact. But the edge of the club did brush her shoulder with sufficient force to knock her to the right...and into the arms of a fast flying, low swooping angel who promptly carried her out of harm's way.

Civis, Ish and Titanicus were right behind Jayhawk. "Okay big boy," said Civis confronting the giant and his ox. "The little man is here just like you asked. What are you going to do about it?"

The giant growled more strange words to the ox. Once again it lowered its head, snorted and prepared to charge. That is, until a golden ball of pure energy slammed into its lowered head, right between its horns. The ox's eyes glazed over, crossed and the beast crumpled to its knees, rolled over an its back and lay there, all four legs in the air. Civis looked over his shoulder to Titanicus and Ish. "Nice shot, guys!" Then the warrior turned to the giant. "What are you going to do with the new table base, Mister Tree Stump?"

Fury flushed red across the face of the giant. He dropped his club, picked up a boulder and tossed it in the direction of his three antagonists. They scattered immediately to avoid the boulder's impact.

Then, as if an invisible hand had reached down to seize it, the giant's club levitated by itself, repositioned itself opposite of the giant and to the giant's utter amazement, brought itself down fully and hard, flush on the crown of the giant's head. Shorter now by an inch, the giant stood motionless for only a moment, taking just enough time to role his eyes back into his head. Senseless, the giant toppled backwards hitting the ground with enough force to nearly lift the Romans off their feet. The club promptly fell to the ground.

"Everyone alright?" asked Civis. "My father isn't," said Apolita. They all hurried over, except Jayhawk, who was tending to Incon's bruised shoulder.

Cian was lying on his back supported by his daughter, his breathing labored. He mumbled something about "too old, too old." Careful administration of water from a nearby creek and cool compresses revived the stricken man over the next half hour.

Cian was sitting up now. "Excellent spell, Master. You will teach it to me some day, won't you?" said Titanicus.

"Yes, of course," answered the weary sorceror. "I would prefer to teach them. Using these spells is almost beyond my strength any more. Now help me to my feet for we must go to the town. Then I will teach to you this spell and the final few you have yet to learn. Your training will be complete. I will have no more knowledge of magic than you.
All that you will have left to learn is when to use the knowledge you have, and that you must learn on your own."

Titanicus and Ish helped Cian to his feet and Apolita found him a wooden staff to aid his walking. Only Incon hesitated to leave for the town. "What about Tusky," she asked pleadingly. "What are we going to do about BT?"

"I guess our next move will be to Teodoir island" Titanicus asked, while helping his master to walk.

Civis looked at the sea. He saw few mountians in the horizen. He pointed to that direction. "Is that Teodoir?" Civis asked. Titanicus looked to where his friend pointed and nodded.
"How are we going to get there?" Civis asked
"Magic?" Ish suggested.
"No. There is a dock nearby. We could use the ferry to go to Teodoir" Titanicus replied.

Jayhawk finished healing Incon. She smiled at him, and then walked over to the giant.
"What are you doing?" Jayhawk asked
"Going to teach that giant to don't even dare hitting women!" She grinned.
She came to the giant, and started seaching for a spot she could use to climb on him.
"Emm, the ear looks okay to me" she decided.
She started climbing on his ear and made her way up to his face. He slowly opened his eyes and watched her.
She leaned on his nose, and folded her hands.
"So, you thought you can hit me without getting punished he punk?!"
The giant looked at her and replied: "I'm on the ground. Isn't it enough?"
She nodded and turned around, her face facing his nose.
"While being governor of Londinum, I learned some Judo" She giggled and then she stood in an attack stance.
She smiled and screamed some old chinese words. She lifted her leg, and kicked him as hard as she can on his nose.
He fainted. The other group members looked at Incon, and decided that they shouldn't mess with dear Lady Incontinentia...

Who left Titanicus? We are going to Teodoir island because we are looking for someone who knows about Deyhawk, and where is he. You want to know something funny? Everytime the one of you writes something in those funny words (I think like an "e" with a "'" or an "A' with something funny with it) I get it in hebrew. Like when you wrote the name of your kids in the story, part of the name came in hebrew. Sometimes it even means something!

Civis walked over to Titanicus. "The dock is near the town, isn't it?"

"Yes, I believe it is," Titanicus replied.

"We need to get some supplies, food and drink, and Cian needs some rest. Is there an Inn?" asked Civis.

"Yes, it's called the "Isle B. Back Inn"

"Catchy...You'll take us there won't you, Titanicus?"

"I guess we should. Sure, I'll take you there."

Cian, able to walk with the help of his staff and the support of this daughter, stood up, joined the group and kept pace as Titanicus led them directly to the town.

The town of Celtia had no walls and no gate. Open to any and all travellers, it made its money through tourism from Rome and through barter and buys between its merchants and the cottage people living on the isle. Its biggest annual event was its sorceror's competition recently won by Titanicus, the first Celtian to win the contest since Cian did many years before.

Titanicus told them the Inn was at the edge of town very near the docks. Often, travellers would come in on boats, stay at the Inn, partake of whatever Celtia offered, and leave again on the next available boat.

Entering the town proper, what the Romans saw was anything but a busy town bent on prosperous business pursuits. Burnt down buildings dotted the pathways. People in rags scrounged for whatever they could find of use. Not a prefect was in sight...and here and there, black caped, hooded figures standing in the shadows, kept invisible eyes focussed on the comings and goings of the rag dressed people. That is, until one after the other they saw the Romans making their way down the town's main path towards the Inn and the docks.

The opened the Inn door and were met by a warm gust if air and the orange glow of lights.

"Titanicoos!" a voice roared from inside the inn. A huge man with bulging muscles walked up to the Celtian and near crushed him in a bear hug.
"Velcome bach! Whoze your friends?" He asked.

"Gang, this is Ahnold, he's from one of the Southern Germanic tribes and ended up in Celtia several years ago.
Ahnold, may I present to you, The Ladies Incontinentia and Apolita, My teacher Cian, Civis of Rome and the Angel Jayhawk."
Ahnold looked at them and then shouted at the girl behind the bar:
"Sonya, beer!"

Sonya brought a barrel of bubbly on a cart and empty mugs for all. With hearty laughs and good humor, Ahnold tapped the barrel, inserting a spigot where the bung had been. He tipped the barrel onto its side and began filling mug after mug with excellently brewed drink.

Ahnold had made a science out of flexing biceps and pectoral muscles and did so with abandon as he worked. Jayhawk looked over towards Incon. Her eyes were open a little larger than usual. She and Apolita were exchanging significant glances from time to time. Jayhawk wondered when the stuttering would begin. The angel poked Civis in the ribs with his elbow (they were sitting on a bench side by side). When Civis turned to ask why, Jayhawk merely cocked his head in the direction of the two women. Civis looked in their direction and quickly figured out what was going on.

"I wonder if they'll remember to close their mouths when they sip the brew," was all Civis said in disgust to Jayhawk. The angel shrugged his shoulders.

Tusky was looking in the open window of the Inn. The gregarious inkeeper noticed the elephant's pleading expression and quickly connected it with the brew. He obtained a clean wooden bucket and partially filled it with brew. Holding it high (muscles on his chest and arm tightening and bulging) he addressed Incon. "For you friend, hokay?" He pointed to the elephant.

"Uh, uh, uh...oh,uh...yes, okay," Incon managed to say before turning pink from neck to forehead.

Ahnold returned to the table, the bucket having been delivered to Tusky outside. Lifting his own mug he said,"Velcome to my Inn, Titanicoos end friends!" Sonya, cum here; sit wit me. Sonya came over and grabbed a mug for herself and they all drank a swig to each other.

"Excellent brew, as always, Ahnold. Good for what "ale's" you!" said an exhuberant Titanicus. When the groans subsided and Ahnold finished a hearty laugh (he always laughed at this joke) the innkeeper's face took on an uncharacteristically more serious expression. "Ve haf big truble in Celtia, Titanicoos. Are all uf you here to help us?"

At that very moment, outside the inn, two familiar faces were approaching from the dock.

LL: "Sure does feel good to get off that damned boat and back to civilization."
FE: "It was your idea to go fishing and carousing for three months, not mine. I really need a bath."
LL: "Quit whining. But now that you mention it, I could use one too. Let's just pop into this inn and ask for direction to … UMPHH! Hey you big drunken lout, why don't you watch where your standing?"

Big Tusky turns around, looks, and can't believe his eyes. Is it? Could it be? YES IT IS! Oh Joy, oh joy!

LL: "UMPHH! Whoa Tusky. It's good to see you too. Now would you ppplllleeaassse get off my lap?"

Tusky gets up, picks Lethargic up, dusts him off with his trunk, and offers him a bucket of beer.

LL: "Thanks buddy but I think I'd better get my own inside. Hey I just got a great idea. Hang loose out here Tusky and practice your back flips. I'll be right back. Coming Flavius?"

As Lethargic walks into the inn he shouts out, "Anyone here ever seen a professional elephant wrestler before?"

All roads lead from the winery, then to the olive farm, and finally to the bath house!!

Hail Bob! Long time no see, you must have caught every fish there was to catch, no?

For those of you that don't know, Bob is an avid story teller and has been weaving the tales of Legionaire Lethargic and Centurion Flavius Equites from the first Trial of the Marketlady

This is going to be fun!!

"Lethargic!" Incontinentia rises from her stool and rushes towards the Romans. Both men get a big hug.
"Come join us, " she pulls the two Romans behind her.

"Jayhawk, these are Legionaire Lethargic and Centurion Flavius Equites. We go back a long way, back to the times we were chasing Hannibal accross the desert.
Lethargic, Equites, this is Jayhawk, you met his protegée Jahakemhotep when we were last in Rome, during the Olympics.
The others are new friends."
She continues and introduces the rest and gives them a quick outline of what happened so far.
"So all we have to do is get Titanicus family back and defeat Jayhawk's evil brother..."
