Titanicus walked down a lonely road leading away from his home. He was heading to another City on the same Island, to preform for a panel of Judges. If he did good, he could get accepted into an enormous and very popular Theatre...the most popular Theatre in all of the Isles of Celtia. If he were to be moving to that Island, (the small Island off the Isle of Celtia, but still under its Rule) which was called Caitríona, he would get a large villa with his own Servants and everything. He was very nerevous, and he wanted to do his very best, as he really wanted this job. He stopped by the side of the road, and pulled his book out of nowhere, he then began walking again. He wanted to do the perfect Magic Trick to do... and he hadn't found it yet...

Whoah! Look at this...look at this. This storyline has made it to a Part Two. (A Great Feat...so many haven't...) Thanks For Making this So Great My Friends! Let we have many More, Continuations!

In a quiet corner of the story, a young woman in Governor's robes leaned against the foreleg of her pet elephant and smoked a herbal. She checked the sundial next to her, and sighed.

"Any idea when the story'll get going again, big fella?" Incon asked the faithful pachaderm.

Big Tusky burped.

She reached in her pocket and fished out a large stick of sugar cane, and fed it to him. Just then a winged shadow crossed the sky. They both looked up.

Tusky grinned.

"Oh, goodie," Incon smiled, "now the fun's gonna start soon!"

The short winged figure went over to Incon and asked her
"Can I have an herbel, and the sports section? I really want to know if last night lion was killed by the two last day lion or were they killed by tomorrow lion?"
She oddly looked at him. Tusky burped and smiled.
"Your friend's breath stinks!" He quickly covered his mouth.
Tusky burped again and now he was angry.

Ugh? Where Have I been? What's going on? People...I merely left for one night... ha ha ha, your acting as if I went back to Visit Ireland or Something! Shovin' me back on the Plane a month early are you? Ha Ha Okay. Well.. I don't know what you all are on about... I made this thread, because the other one...is almost to 150...at that point...it stops...you know? Oh, and Wen dear...want me to write you into our story? You mentioned earlier that you wanted to join us! sniffs the air* Huh Hemmmm, *grabs Ish and Incon's Herbals, and crushes them under feet* "Not In Here You Guys!" Now! Back to the Story! 1, 2, 3... Annnnnd Action!

Here is Where We Left Off, Am I right?:

"Lethargic!" Incontinentia rises from her stool and rushes towards the Romans. Both men get a big hug.
"Come join us, " she pulls the two Romans behind her.

"Jayhawk, these are Legionaire Lethargic and Centurion Flavius Equites. We go back a long way, back to the times we were chasing Hannibal accross the desert.
Lethargic, Equites, this is Jayhawk, you met his protegée Jahakemhotep when we were last in Rome, during the Olympics.
The others are new friends."
She continues and introduces the rest and gives them a quick outline of what happened so far.
"So all we have to do is get Titanicus family back and defeat Jayhawk's evil brother..."

Titanicus watched the happy reunion, then quietly slipped out the door. It had been atleast a week since he had last been here...before that, he had never left the Isle. He walked around the building a few times, taking in the air, and the climate he was used to, as he rounded the corner, for a third time, he crashed into another person, who had been coming around from the other side... As he fell onto his backside he got a glimpse of the lady whom he had bumped into, also falling onto her behind...

Cue Wen!Wen! This is your Queue!

Everyone paused a moment after Titanicus' outburst.

"Erm...who's Wen?" Apolita asked. Everyone shushed her.

Several more moments passed. No new person appeared in the tavern.

Incon looked down at her left hand. "I could have sworn I was holding a herbal just now..." She scratched her head, then handed a scroll to Ish. "By the way...here's the sports section..."

"Thanks!" Ish took it from her and immediately started thumbing to the Lion Fights page.

"Carthag Growlers 2, Miletus Roarers 0," Incon informed him.

"Bugger!" Ish spat. "I had a bet on that game..."

Bob the Lethargic looked around. "So...what's been going on in our absence?" he asked, lifting a flagon of ale.

"Where would you like us to start?" Jayhawk enquired. "Our trip to the South Pacific islands of Hawaii, or the bit where we travelled forward through time to Future Londinium?"

"The city's a lot better street-planned than now," Incon sighed.

Titanicus looked around at the confused party and said "Erm...don't we still have Jayhawk's Evil Younger Brother - Deyhawk - to defeat? I mean, if it's alright with you lot, I'd *quite* like to get my wife and family back..."

Whoooooooooooooooooooah there Titanicus - is it really you???? She picked herself up off the ground, and threw Titanicus a dazzling smile Ever since she started work for Macleans, she had this silly glistening grin on her face, which was turning into a fixture.

She looked Titanicus up and down, and then said I have missed you SO much deary. Tell me all about your trip.

He sat down and told her about all the trials and tribulations he'd been through since they last met, about is new friends, and the marvels of the world he'd experienced. She responded with many, many WOWS, OOOHS, and AHS in the appropriate places.

He then turned to Wen, and asked her And how have you been Wen?.

She looked back at him, and a tear rolled down her face.

Oh Titanicus she blurted outyou haven't heard? I have some terrible, terrible news....

Hmmm, I might post more a wee bit later...now I am a bit confused on what to say.

Titanicus looked concerned, he stopped her before she could tell him more, "Lets go into teh tavern, you we can warm up, and I can introduce you to my friends..." He said, taking her wrist in a caring manner (not her hand...he's taken!) and leading her to the warm indoors...

As they walked into the Tavern, Titanicus introduced his old friend Wen to all of his new found friends. She tried not to dazzle them with her shiny-tooth thing, but couldn't help but noticing they were all putting on their sunglasses.

(I must do something about that she thought!!!!).

Titanicus bought 2 orange-sodas, and they walked over to an empty booth. Wen was quite surprised to see that elephants were allowed in the Tavern - she usually didn't frequent such places (heh heh heh).

She then began slowly, to tell him her tale of woe...

Oh Titanicus, while you were gone, you know my triplet sistet PACurious, and my triplet brother PCDangerous, well they went off exploring into the forest a week ago. They usually go there to get some nice honey from some beehives they know about.

Anyway, by 5.00 o'clock that night, they weren't home, so we have all been out searching for them for days and days, and we've search everywhere, and they aren't even on the island...and ...and she sobbed uncontrollably now ... - THEY'VE BEEN KIDNAPPED

Legionnaire Lethargic: "Hey everyone, if you want to we can move this party to the boat. There's enough room for everybody, including Tusky. Hell, it even has an exercise room."

FE: "Lethargic, I've told you a thousand times those aren't rowing machines in the bottom of the ship."
LL: "Well then the captain must be doing something kinky down there with all those whips and chains."

Incontinentia: "Somebody pass me that jar of olives. I want to hit him with it. Lethargic, your still totally clueless. Do you practice at getting dumber everyday or does it just seem that way."

LL: "Hey lets not get too personal here. I may resemble that last remark. But I could use another olive."

Just then the door to the inn bursts open.

(Okay here we go Titanicus)

Flavius Equius: "It sounds like we have to rescue some kidnapped people. Anyone have any ideas?"
Incontinentia: "Sounds like something Hannibal might do. Could he be behind this?"
Flavius: "No. After his rapid exit from Italy he moved down to central Africa. Last I heard he went native and is living under the assumed name of Lecter. Now he's known as Hannibal the Cannibal."

Tusky drops to the floor grunting. Flavius can't tell if he's laughing or just groaning in agony. Lethargic wakes up when he hears all the noise and crawls out from under the table where he passed out."

Lethargic: "Did somebody say Lecter? Funny thing is there was a boat in the harbor by the same name."
Incontinentia: "Was there anything suspicious about it?"
Lethargic: "Well a couple of hours ago I saw some sailors carrying a lumpy carpet onto it. I could swear I saw a pair of feet sticking out of it with a silver toe ring with the initials of PAC. At first I thought it was probably just Cleopatra going to see Caesar again. But seven more carpets were brought onto the ship."
Wendoolicus: "My triplet sister has a toe ring just like that!"
Flavius: "That's something we should probably check out."
Lethargic: "No can do. The ship sailed just as we came into town."
Incontinentia: "So were could it have gone? How do we find it?"
Lethargic: "Well it just so happens that one of the sailors carelessly left this piece of map in his purse. The one that he's going to find missing when he looks for it in the morning."

Lethargic opens the map as everyone gathers around. It's an outline of an island but the only things noted on the outline are "12th Villa" and "Blue Grotto".

Flavius: "I know where this is. Let's get to the boat. We may be able to catch them before they get there."

All roads lead from the winery, then to the olive farm, and finally to the bath house!!

Sorry, guys, I'm almost literally rolling over the floor laughing. I haven't seen such a thread/story mixup since the marketlady ended up in Egypt. Let's see if I can help Titanics a bit.

Hi Wen, nice to see you getting caught up in the story.

The biggest problem we have is that most of what went before happened in the other thread.

Cast:
Apolita - daughter of Cian, bethrothed to Civis (NPC)
Cian - Titanicus teacher (NPC)
Civis - Roman swordman (PC)
Centurion Equius Flavius - Roman Centurion father in law (or uncle) of LL(?) (NPC)
Incontinentia - Traveller, lambabda-dancer extraordinair and Governor of Londinium (possibly in a different time slice (PC)
Ish - cherub (PC)
Jayhawk - angel (PC)
Legionaire Lethargic - Roman soldier from the Carthago area(?) (PC)
PAC and PCD - friends of Wen, (currently NPC)
Titanicus - Celtian magician (PC)
Tusky - the elephant (NPC)
Wen - ? droppped in from a party thread (PC)

Summary:
Titanicus wife and children have been kidnapped by the Evil Deyhawk, who seems to be my younger brother. Deyhawk has taken over the island of Celtia (which is Britannia sometimes) and his Henchmen have made it into a sort of Mordor, all bleak and gloom.

Last time I checked Tusky had been kidnapped, but he seems to have escaped

The current plan is to plan how to get T. relatives back, defeat the evil Deyhawk and bring light to the Isle of Celtia. (not necessarily in that order.)

Right then. Where did I put the script with my lines? oh, here it is! thanks director jay

Ish looked around and noticed Tusky has being kidnapped again, and decided to infrom his friends. "Tusky is gone!" he screamed. The others turned to him and replied, "Don't you think we can notice when a 12 foot animel disappears?!"
"Are we going on the boat or not?" Wend asked thniking on her lost brother and sister. She was thinking what did she do to Deyhawk so that he'll kidnappe her family.
She looked at Jayhawk and asked "Is it because we didn't ivite him to the reunion party?"
"I'm not sure. I think he was a bit upset when he heard that people were getting invitations via massengers, and he had to sit all day and wait for the invitation, and that intoruppted him from planning how to controll the world" he explained. LL and Flavius were all ready on board their ship. "All aboard!" Flavius said, while LL was preparing the ship. They all stepped in. "Look at the name of the ship" Titanicus pointed at the front of the ship.
"Oh it's like your name Titanicus!" Incon exlaimed
"I hope we won't hit an iceberg..." Civis smiled.

Egads! I'm so confused. I was back where the door to the Inn burst open, now I'm on a galley cracking jokes.
_________________________________

Civis looked around the top deck of the galley. Big boat, he thought, seems shipshape. Quite a few passengers for its size though. He had a bad feeling about it.

Ahnold had told them about the black clothed minions of Deyhawk who seemed to be everywhere in the town. "You must haf frightened dem when you knocked the giant down. Thas why they leaf you alone for now," he observed.

"Come with us," suggested Civis.

Ahnold turned his head and looked at Sonya. "No. Better I stay here. Keep the Inn. They don't bother me. They know better. But if I go, they may bother Sonya. I must stay."

Civis returned his thoughts to the galley on which he stood and the open sea in front. He could hear the steady beat of the drums signaling each galley slave to pull on his oar. Sometimes the crack of a whip could be heard above the beat of the drums and the creaking of the wooden ship as it strained against the waves striking its bow and sides. I will not have slaves in my villa, ever, he thought.

So deep in thought was Civis, that he hardly noticed Apolita had joined him until she took his right hand in her left hand and leaned her head on his shoulder. They stood there without speaking looking at the far horizon and the land beginning to show above the sea's edge. Closer and closer they came to the shore until it was only an extended swim away.

The galley suddenly shuddered, wood splintered, men below screamed in pain and fright, and the galley immediately listed to the right and began rapidly sinking by the bow. Everyone on deck was thrown to the floor by the impact. No one was hurt, other than bruised. The plight of the galley was immediately evident and understood.

As the Captain yelled "Abandon ship," Civis confirmed his previous suspicion. "I knew I had a bad feeling about this." Then he helped Apolita to her feet and Cian too, who was nearby, and all three jumped into the water and began swimming to shore.

Deyhawk peered into his vision bowl watching the scene unfold. He chuckled. That was fun, he said to himself, I'll have to do that again sometime.

Lethargic: "Neptune is out to get me."
Flavius: "What are you mumbling about?"
LL: "Lately every time I get on a boat it eventually sinks. This time I could swear I saw a giant hand push the boat into that reef. Good thing we had these recently emptied wine casks to grab onto."
FE: "You're paranoid and probably delusional from the sun. Neptune is not out to get you. Now swim. We've still got a couple of miles to go. At the rate you're treading water that will take us a couple of days. Where's everybody else? Do you see anyone?"
LL: "No. But once we make it to shore we can try to find out."

The legionnaires continue to slowly paddle toward land while Lethargic hums Row, Row, Row Your Boat. A couple of hours later….

FE: "This isn't working. We seem to be drifting further from land. The current is just too strong."
LL: "You just aren't motivated enough."
FE: "Motivation has nothing to do with it. It's just too hard."
LL: "Flavius?"
FE: "Now what?"
LL: "What does that fin sticking out of the water coming at us mean?"
FE: "It means we may not be at the top of the food chain anymore. SWIM FOR YOUR LIFE!"

With renewed motivation the boys make it to shore and set a Roman water speed record in the process. And the puzzled bottle-nosed dolphin they left behind had never seen wine casks move so fast before.

Meanwhile…..

Lethargic's knees brushed the sandy bottom of the beach. Realizing he was on shore he quickly abandoned the empty wine casks that had been his floats and dashed onto the dry sand. Flavius was right behind him.

"We were wondering if you would find this spot," said a much soaked Titanicus. Others were huddled here and there. Some of the upper deck crew could be seen gathering wood for a warming fire. Not surprisingly, no galley slaves were in sight, either in the water or on the beach. Chains were the same as anchors to these poor souls. None survived.

Civis and Cian were rubbing Apolita's arms and shoulders trying to get circulation back into them and ease her discomfort. The only totally dry persons on the beach were Cherub Ish, Jayhawk and Incon. Ish managed to get his smallish wings to carry him to the beach. Jayhawk, of course, effected one of his typical rescues of Incon from the brink of disaster. The angel had spread his wings and taken off with Incon in his arms just before the vessel sank beneath the waves. The saving part would have been less dramatic if the angel didn't first have to fetch Incon from the refreshment compartment where ale flowed on call, and wait for her to finish her herbal. She wasn't about to waste a good herbal she had said.

Despite the general goodwill and relief among those on the beach, way down deep many harbored an evil thought, heavily suppressed. Why not pick all three of them up and throw them into the first available wave. Serves them right for not getting wet like everyone else. Fortunately, sanity prevailed and each of these little nagging devil-thoughts faded slowly into the realm of the forgotten.

It seems we're all facing a more or less similar direction again.
Civis, have you any clue how hard salt water is on your feathers...

"What happened?" asked Ish, "I swear I could her a women singing in French."
Civis grunted and Jayhawk fixed the young cherub with a stare.
"Not again..."

"Are we all here?" Cian asked.
Titanicus looked round and said,
"I think so, master."
"Where are we anyhow, " Apolita asked shivering as Civis tried to rub some warmth in her fingers.
"It looks like the South coast, " Incontinentia remarked,
"Sarum and the 'henge should be North of here. Aqua Sulis is more to the North West. I could do with a hot bath?" She looked at the angel who shook his head.

"Flavius?" Lethargic nudged his uncle ungently in the ribs.
"Yes, nephew?"
"I think we got company."

The legionaire pointed towards the cliffs where a number of unclean looking creatures moved downwards. Their skins were the colour of dead fish with nails and teeth like black iron. Their hair was stiff and spiky with lime. Civis sowrd hissed out off it's sheeth folowed by those of the two other soldiers.

But Jayhawk, wouldn't an angel float on salt water like a seabird? Doesn't seem to bother their feathers at all!
________________________________________

"Well Jayhawk, here we go again," observed Civis, sword at the ready. "To our usual posts once more."

"Right!" agreed the angel. He quickly collected Cian, Incon, Wendoolicus and Apolita and with Cherub Ish, stood protectively between them and the oncoming creatures.

Surviving members of the galley's crew picked up pieces of wood as suitable clubs and gathered together for defense. Lethargic, Flavius and Civis stood nearly shoulder to shoulder immediately behind the crew, ready to terminate any breakthroughs or flanking attacks. Keeping their swords had made their respective swims tougher, but all were glad to have them at just this moment.

"Those buggers are definitely not friendly at all," commented Incon. Titanicus knew he would be needed so he quietly moved into the open behind the three swordsmen.

A chilling howl arose from the large party of unearthlies that had quickly gathered on the cliffs. Like rodents on a rampage they suddenly swarmed over the edge of the cliffs, some jumping, some clawing their way down, others simply falling to the ground below the cliffs. Fear and amazement could plainly be seen on the faces of the unfortunate crew of the Titanic as the creatures, one and all, shook off the effects of their falls and charged once more. Bravely the crewmen stood their ground.

The charging creatures broke like a sea wave on the collective body of crewmen. Clubs rose and fell, rose and fell. Creatures split into pieces as their decomposing body parts crumbled under the blows of the clubs.

Civis said to the men at his side. "Stabbing won't stop them. Sever their body parts. Especially their weapon arms. They can't fight without them!" Civis knew these Romans were experienced fighters. He had no need to say anything more.

The ranks of the galley crew were thinning badly. Men lay on the ground either groaning or unmoving. By their sheer numbers, the creatures were withstanding the crew's valiant efforts. Soon they would be upon the Romans.

The legionaire looked to his right at Civis and Flavius. "Ready?" Both nodded...

"BREAKTHROUGH ON THE RIGHT!" yelled Flavius. The Romans immediately charged into the oncoming creatures. Swords flashed left then right, up and then down, as the Romans slashed and chopped at the foul things assaulting them.

Apolita screamed as she saw Civis trip then fall with a creature on top of him, its curved sword raised to deliver a mortal blow. Lethargic's sword deftly removed the creature's sword arm and then its head. Civis quickly regained his feet with no time to say anything since another creature was pressing its attack almost immediately.

Light flashes now began to illuminate the beach. Creatures exploded as Titanicus unleashed power bolt spells on them. Jayhawk's expression became increasingly intense. His eyes narrowed measurably the closer the battle came to his position. "Ish, fly above the field. Tell them to quickly pull back. Watch out for arrows, Ish." The Cherub lifted off and did so.

The crewmen were down. The last dozen unearthlies finished their work and gathered to charge the nearly exhausted Romans. Titanicus' spells were losing their force. "Too many of them, Civis! They're just too many!"

Then they heard Ish. "Pull back, pull back, Jayhawk says pull back...RUN!" Each Roman took one more swing at a creature, then turned and ran towards Jayhawk.

The angel's expression was fierce. "DEYHAWK! You will not win this day!" he exclaimed. His eyes slammed shut, the veins on his forehead stood out, his fists were clenched. Under the feet of the oncoming creatures the sand began to move, shift, swirl and liquify. The creatures were immobilized, grasped by the viscous solution that had become their portion of the beach. They began to sink. In desperation the creatures clawed at the air, the sand, anything to stop the sinking. But it was futile. All but one disappeared beneath the sand. This one last creature, buried to its shoulders, had grasped a huge piece of driftwood that had defied the liquified sand.

Jayhawk suddenly staggered, exhausted from the strain, and sat down hard, physically spent. The sand stopped moving. The creature slowly began to pull itself out of the sand that had been its trap.

"No you don't!" said Civis. He walked directly to the creature, raised his sword high above its head and deliberately looked into the creature's upturned evil face.
"Back to the corruption from which you came, foul offspring of a demented power!" And he brought his swords edge down with all of his might on the creature's head, splitting it in two. Its struggling ended immediately.

The dead creature's hulk fell over on its side, and then instantly disinigrated, along with the other dead creatures, the only signs that they were there, was the indents theyh ad left ion the sand, and the dead crewmans wounds, wich had been inclicted by them.Titanicus turned to look at the group, and what was left of them, only 2 or three crewmembers, but all of our travelers were there, shaken, but not stirred. The only noises to be heard was Apoltia's soft crying, and the murmers of the group...the waves breaking on the shore, and the final gasps of the dying soldiers which littered the beach....

"You frighten me so, Civis, when you use your sword," sniffled Apolita. "Isn't there a better way to do these things?"

"At times, yes. At times, no. Today, there was no alternative. Neither magic nor swords would have been enough all alone. It had to be done together."

"Well anyway, you owe Legionaire Lethargic a thank you."

She sat down again and said only one word, putting a deliberate edge on its utterance..."Men!" she said.

Lethargic looked at Civis and Civis looked at Lethargic. Both shrugged their shoulders and turned back to the business at hand. Yet both couldn't hide entirely the beginnings of a smile on their respective faces. Ah yes, women...they both were thinking.
