Now it so happened that Benson and his wife Caylynnia lived in the General's household, in the servants quarters as befit their station. Nevertheless, since Benson was a rather important servant, being the General's butler, they had an elevated status among the servants and thus had their own private rooms.
While Benson was busy serving the General, Caylynnia was engaged in a strenuous workout in their quarters. Bath girls, after all, had to retain their lovely, youthful looks, otherwise they would be quickly dismissed from service. Caylynnia still had the figure of a girl half her age, but she worked hard to keep herself trim and fit.
At that moment, Caylynnia was putting herself through a calisthenics routine, not all that different from that of a Roman solider. Perspiration glistened on her body, lending her skin a healthy glow. Her long, lustrous hair was drawn up in a queue, out of the way, but it shone brightly, even in the muted light of the small room. It was easy to see why she was considered a 'dish', as horrified as she would have been to have heard such an expression used in her presence.
