Located in the centre of the castle of Ehb, you see pleasant looking three story building. As you walk up to it, you see a sign above the door way saying 'The Inndom of Ehb'. You step inside and look around. There are many elves, dwarves and men sitting around the bar, drinking, eating and talking. In the corner, a large warm fire blazes. Upstairs there are many rooms with comftable bed where a weary traveller can rest. Here you can chat about whatever you please or have a meal or just spend time with friends.

Ah damn it... Oh well. 1000 is the biggest one! And the new limit is 2750 I think.

Funnily there's an average of 1.58 posts per day at this inn while at the sister inn at AoWH heaven, despite being open for longer, the result is only 1.13 posts per day. Just shows how much this heaven rocks! That's excluding this post.

Actually technically the other inn has more posts. But 400 more posts in around 2 more years is pretty rubbish.

Which, the one in the Valley of Wonders or the one in the Hall of Wonders? The one in the HoW has us beaten by quite a lot.

The one in the Valley of Wonders, created by me! I didn't know there was even any in the HoW. Neither seem to be beating us by that much though...

This thread is still pretty dead compared to the Randomness thread on the forum I work on... Over 680,000 posts since November 2002

QD, if I'm not wrong you work on that site you showed us the other day, right?
And if I'm not wrong you said you were a mod, right?
Now, the question is...
How do you moderate 680,000 posts??!! I knnow you're not alone moderating, but still it's a hell of a job you know...

I'm not the only moderator there. There's a team of about 10 of us, with one forum administrator. There is almost always at least one of us online to watch over the forum. We don't get that much in the way of spam or rude language (there are a few troublemakers, but they're easily dealt with by our yellow card system).

On top of that, I need to keep an eye on the chatroom as well. I'm the chatroom administrator as well as a forum moderator, which involves leading a team of about 30 chatroom operators. Quite an intense job as the chatroom moves at a far quicker pace than the forum, though we do have a bot operator who does some of the more basic aspects of opping just in case there's a team failure somewhere. I have a mountain of admin work to get through before next weekend including a full review of every member of the opping team to see if I'll need to appoint any extra hands over the upcoming summer break.

You'd think that I would at least get paid for all the work that I do there

Do you ever end up giving people three yellow cards by mistake?

I only think we've made one mistake like that before...

Once, someone managed to find a bug in the forum code and exploited it to crate about 1000 or so empty threads in the space of less than 2 minutes. There were only 3 mods on (myself, and Neta and Danny who are no longer on the team), so we had to rope in some extra help to card each blank thread for spamming (3 points) and then delete it. A few regular members who thought it would be a good idea to flame the spammer also got caught in the carding crossfire - which was hell to put right again because once a thread gets deleted, we can't remove any cards from it without getting the webmaster involved (and he's rarely around as he seems happy enough to let us run his website for him).

It all worked out OK in the end though, and the spammer got a 6 month ban from the number of cards handed out

Do you have to count the posts, too? With all those posts, you'd probably need a lot of cherubs to help you out.

Nah, we don't count all of them... We have an automated counter that numbers and tallies up all the posts on the forum. I think we're somewhere over the 3 million count so far

That's about as many as EaWH has.

Maybe we should merge or something...

Although the merger of DSH and EoWH would be wierd... would it be Dungeon at War Heaven? Empire at Siege Heaven?
