Located in the centre of the castle of Ehb, you see pleasant looking three story building. As you walk up to it, you see a sign above the door way saying 'The Inndom of Ehb'. You step inside and look around. There are many elves, dwarves and men sitting around the bar, drinking, eating and talking. In the corner, a large warm fire blazes. Upstairs there are many rooms with comftable bed where a weary traveller can rest. Here you can chat about whatever you please or have a meal or just spend time with friends.

But we're still here. We're T3 Engineers, rather than Dungeoneers, but we're still here.

We're truly appreciative of the move, Zen, shelper, HSM, and anyone else involved. We promise not to cause trouble. Except for a few drunken dwarves, anyway.

Very true... I also have a lead or two that I need to follow up on (I got an e-mail from David, of all people).

Anyhow. I propose a toast!

aw, lucky. I didn't get any from him! *checks e-mail*

Anyway, I'm feeling depressed. I need lots of alcohol....

No, not because of that...

If you must know...

I met up with this girl I really, really like today and some other dude and spent the day hanging out, which was okay... then they ditched me to go to London. They were going to go to London anyway for a family thing, but they decided to leave quite a bit earlier than they intended so they could spend time shopping and hanging out in London before this family thing, thus abandoning me! Still, I feel that's a bit harsh... meeting up with someone, then ditching them so they can go somewhere more interesting... Although to be fair, I wouldn't care that much if I didn't really, really like this girl and wanted to spend as much time with her as possible...

Though on the plus side, her boob was pressed against my arm for quite a while. I think she realized as well, then moved and then moved back so my arm was pressed against her boob again with her knowing

Not that we're not rooting for you and doling out moral support, but that last tidbit was kind of more than we needed to know.

I assume it's still here... the five or six of us are simply a tiny pocket of survivors from DSH's collapse. We'll welcome anyone to the Inn, but SupCom at large is welcome to ignore us completely.

Speaking of which, I wonder if I should update my signature to link to here, or to keep it at the old DSH, or just take the thing out entirely.

Now, really, I'll try to help you. Was this "other dude" the boyfriend? I know this sounds more like a girly sleep over conversation, but hey, I need to know.
Anyways if the last anecdote is true, it means you have a shot at her. Don't be down! You just have to wait for your turn...

I'll book an ambulance... While we might be somewhat accustomed to your food, the locals might not have the intestinal fortitude to survive it (and nature mages are in somewhat short supply after the fall of Greilyn)

Neo... If you like this girl, make sure she definitely knows how you feel about her (and how you felt about being abandoned like that). I'm sure she'd appreciate your honesty, and you might have a better chance at things is everything's out in the open.

It was going to be closed, so it was a pity that our small, kind community broke up, so a kind angel moved our community thread from DSH to here.
Hope we aint much of a problem...

Ah, Sir Hugh, I sent you the first walkthrough of SHC, I'll send you the second one tomorrow, my internet is foolinhg with me and it's too slow, it'll take forever if I send both together.

Sorry, I just kinda felt the closeness kinda nice. And thought maybe she was kinda flirting with me?
I'll try to help you. Was this "other dude" the boyfriend? I know this sounds more like a girly sleep over conversation, but hey, I need to know.
Nope, he wasn't. Just a friend, like me, I guess. Plus I doubt I have a shot, she found out I was gonna ask her out (see below) and said no. I know she has no interest in me.

Well she did find out I was gonna ask her out a while back, but she never really found out how I felt. And since that friday, I haven't spoken to her about it at all... So she knows I fancy her, I think. But I've never said how I feel... like how I love her so much and she means the world to me and that I would do absolutely anything for her... her smile and her laugh are so sweet and she's one of the most beautiful girls I've ever met. Plus, I do tend to get on well with her.

Neo, what I'm about to say may come across as rude or harsh or offensive, and I hope you can forgive me for my brutal honesty. Do you have any idea how pathetic you sound? I'm happy to give you moral support in these things, but don't let yourself fail before you even put in a real effort to try.

Just level with her. While some girls might like shy guys, if you reek of insecurity the only thing she'll do is turn the other way and run at full speed. Show a little courage, and you can have anyone you want.

If she still says no to you after that, you haven't lost anything and you can keep the friendship you have with her. She even gave you some physical flirting, so there is a chance there. It's up to you to seize that chance.

all I said was that I 'asked her out' before, she said no and I hadn't told her how I felt and then said how I do feel... dunno how that's pathetic...

And I didn't say I wasn't gonna tell her how I feel..

All the same Neo, actions tend to speak a lot louder than words. When will you next have the opportunity to see her again?

Yes, there is a chance, but my theory is that all is based in the correct timing. It must be the best moment when you're going to ask her out.
For example, my opinion on what happened there is that she did not agree to go out because she knew you were going to ask here out, but by another person, it made you look shy, and as it seems she doesen't like shy guys.

My approach, and I don't say you have to do it, is become her best friend.
Understand her, be there with her in her worst moments, get to know all her secrets, treat her like she is supposed to.
Normally when a woman sees a man that is mature and doesen't want only "sexy time", as Borat said, but a more serious relantionship, she gets interested.

No idea. Whenever I convince her to come to Portsmouth (hard since she's always busy). So hopefully sometime next week. And yeah, I know actions speak louder... that's what I'm almost certainly gonna tell her how I feel one day when I get the chance.

That's pretty much what I've been trying to do it for ages, dunno if it results in any progress though as she tends to just pass me by.

And she didn't find out from someone else. I implied it although I neither confirmed nor denied it.

Also I might be horribly insecure, but I try to hide it from her. I think I'm relatively successful at that! So long as my friends don't tell her the things I say...

And there goes your problem Neo!
How are you supposed to be her best friend if you ae hiding from her?

I say you start again. Try to approach her again, in a friendly way, make it look as you don't want anything with her.
And DON'T hide from her. That's the worst thing you could do.

I don't mean I hide literally from her, I just mean I hide my feelings for her from her. I do see her, relatively often and I do make it look like I don't want anything from her, just hanging out as friends. Sorry for that misunderstanding
