As the TM forumers might already know, I'm currently working as an ELI (English Language Instructor) in Namhae-eup, the county seat of Namhae County of Gyeongsang-nam Province in South Korea. It's a tiny town of 14000 on a sparsely populated island. I've been here teaching at an all-boys' middle school for the EPIK program (the Korean government's "English Program in Korea") for the past two months. Since it's my first time doing actual teaching, it's been a rather interesting experience. There were some difficulties at the start, but I'm getting the hang of things. As Gloria said to me once, "kids are kids everywhere." The kids here are pleasant and I like them for the most part (and they'll always bow to me and greet me in the halls), but they can also absolutely drive me insane! I deal with 400 students; 60 of them likely have attention-deficit hyperactive disorder. Namhae-eup is a very quiet town so I brought some CB games with me to pass the time when there's nothing to do.
Anyways, just wanted to share some pics with the HG city-builder crowd as well. This pics are of Jinju City during Chuseok Week. Chuseok is Korean Thanksgiving and a very big holiday. I've been told that since Korea has four distinct seasons, late-autumn is absolutely spectacular. I'll post up some late-autumn pictures once that comes around.
