OK.. New thread

South Texas is having spring-almost-summer weather. High 80Fs and breezy. Showers in the afternoon.

I have some kind of vine growing on a wrought iron structure. It is doing fine, and is showing off its ONE flower again. Now, I appreciate ONE flower, but how come after 3 years it isnt covered with purple blooms?

Somewhat unlikley, isn't it?

I remember the US (summerschool) students always be a little surprised when they find the Haarlem police station dates back to 1614 or so...
Makes it older than their country

You have that right on ..no contest on age when our national histories are compared. When I visited St Augustine..and noted "Est" dates on buildings..it does show how young we are in all the other gathering places.

Going to rain this weekend...mid 50s..and I'll stay in and play Stronghold

We had a sunny weekend. Not much time to spend inside and play Stronghold...did finish the first 4 military engagements, though.

Long time since I've found my way into here.

The weather here has been warming up nicely, my garden is in full bloom . Its probably lucky that Stronghold hasn't found its way to Australia yet, means I might get outside to enjoy it

AH Thanks so much Mere ..just knowing there's blooms somewhere takes the edge off our cool gray skys. A little misty today..same for the rest of the week too.

Glad to see Stronghold hit the shelves..it is a good mix, and I love the editor already

Nice weather in Texas at the moment. Clear and just a bit cool

Still too warm to chance planting the winter flowers - we might have one more warm spell that would be too hard on the pansies and snapdragons

Hi Lady G
Pansies and snapdragons are winterflowers
We plant them in spring and they normally last the summer...

Sunny!

Yearround bouquets of flowers down Texas way so rub it in Gustavia ..and we have a few out of synch Rhodies..if we're lucky.

Wet..and soggy, as one shower..is followed by another. Makes for happy ducks Mid 50s and not much variation.

Beautiful fall weather here...mid 70s to mid 80s during the day, foggy mornings leaving everything damp. All the flowers are finally starting to bloom. My azalea is covered in white flowers, the camellia is beautiful, and the pansies are looking great. The sweet peas are growing and hopefully will be blooming in about 6 weeks. Had one death, though. A neighborhood cat dug up one of the new lavender plants the other day while using the new flowerbed as a litter box

There's still flowers in the Hydrangea, even a few in the passion flower, the verbena and the petunias. I guess they'll only stop when they gets some frost.

Showers currently, with strong wind.

Heard on the news this morning that it's been 152 days since the last rain here. We should be getting some in the next month or two though

Sometimes I become overly passionate about rain..but living in Eugene where the University sports teams are called Ducks..well I think it's apparent how we view appropriated desired weather to fit our "needs"..*ahem* "quack-quack"

Hello!

Sun shone the entire day (it's night now...)!
That is not usual in this time of the year, here in Portugal... Anyway, the beach was very good!

Bye,

Sun's shining with a 10C temperature.
A few showers are expected to happen...

Will I have a chance to mow the lawn one more time..?

Wow. 10 degrees Celsius. That's cold. But I bet my father suffered enough. He went to Beijing last week and claimed that he was nearly frozen because the temperature there was 1 degrees C. Well, first of all, you must understand that we Singaporeans aren't used to such extreme coldness, so...

The weather today is really strange. First, it drizzled. Then it became scorching hot (I had my volleyball training today in the afternoon). Then it rained dogs and cats. Now I can still see the 'aftermath' of the thunderstorm. Fortunately, there are no signs that it will rain for the rest of today.

RAIN!!!

We had rain here yesterday! OK, so it was just a heavy drizzle, but it was rain! Just enough to get everything wet and then the sun came back out later in the afternoon.

That's good to hear Memsurs ..spare the irrigation a bit.

DX your weather would spoil me way too much...need the extra push just on non rainy days here.

Here we have a little adjustment..getting a bit cooler, and the rain isn't back..YET

I'm getting sick and tired of the rain already!!! I see wet roads, wet window sills, wet balcony etc everyday.

Well, it's a standard climate here. Either you get the hot sun, or you get rain.

Cooler, a touch of rain.

Duan it'll get much colder, especially when you count the windchill factor as well.
