OK.. New thread

South Texas is having spring-almost-summer weather. High 80Fs and breezy. Showers in the afternoon.

I have some kind of vine growing on a wrought iron structure. It is doing fine, and is showing off its ONE flower again. Now, I appreciate ONE flower, but how come after 3 years it isnt covered with purple blooms?

Heatwave. Dry. Bushfires. Power failures in Victoria because everyone turns on the air-conditioning. I think my laptop is overtheating.

Roll on autumn.

Good weather here, no complaints.

Kach, I've heard a lot about the bad weather Down Under. First it was the 40+ degC temperatures and bushfires. Now apparently much of Queensland is flooded?

Hello Margaret

How's the weather in your part of the world?
It's thawing fairly fast here, although we may get some more snow at the weekend.

Hi Granite - I came out of hibernation for an hour today.
Roads were clear and it wasn't as cold as it looked.

Hi Margaret

Here in Denmark it's back to the usualy February weather as it's been for years: Cold, humid and grey but only a little chance of rain. We'll probably get a snowstorm in late March or early April

Hi DX. More of the same today. Bush fires raging in the southern states and large parts of Queensland flooded.

Temperature today was 37 here, but went over 40 in many places.

Cool here today, in the low 20's, but since it was 47.9 (118F) here on Saturday and with the bushfires all around Melbourne thats a very good thing.

Very pleasant here in Ohio, today. Unseasonably warm. I turned the heat off and opened up the windows for fresh air. It has started to rain and the winds are kicking up, even a few power flickers. What a contrast to the previous week's temperatures.

I also live in Ohio, and after a short glimpse of warmth, it's back to being super-cold. (and with fast winds to boot)

My brother and mother lost power last night, because of the high winds. As of noon they still didn't have power, but the repair crews were in the area. Hopefully, they have gotten power restored by now or made sleeping arangements with someone with power. It didn't get down to freezing last night, but it is tonight.

Snow has stopped falling, but there may be a little more tonight.

This is, by far, the snowiest winter in the 17 years I've lived in the Seattle area.

It's been a quite a good week, generally about 10oC, although the wind has made it feel cooler.

Sadly next week is predicted to be colder with frosts at night.

No snow though

3rd day with snow (or some kind of solid water) falling. Also some rain, so most of the snow has melted. Dreary.

Last week it was 16 inches of light and fluffy.

Today, so far, it's been 6 inches of heart attack snow! Expecting at least 2-4 more.

Temp is hovering around freezing.

Would someone please send over the self-proclaimed, (big scary voice on) "global warming" (big scary voice off) "experts" (used extremely loosely) to shovel my walk and driveway?
