Spring is here! And it promises to be a wonderful Easter weekend with temps on Easter Sunday expected to be in the 15C range.

We've had snow fall in all twelve months here. Luckily that's not the norm. Although a snowstorm in May IS the norm around here... Ah well.
This week is a bit chilly, with some snow yesterday, but at least it's sunny today. And the snow all melted.

Of the 16 Seattle-area winters that I've seen, this has been the coldest and weirdest. With ornamental cherry trees blooming about a month late, snow has been falling for hours. I don't expect it to last very long, but it sure is pretty.

We have approximately 10-15" of snow, depending on what part of town you are in...
And the forecast calls for 20C by the weekend. I love Calgary. Really.

More snow (mixed with rain and sleet or hail). The white roads and rooftops look very wintery, but lots of trees have new growth and there's a camellia bush with lots of red blooms just outside my window. Very unusual for mid-April.
