OK.. New thread

South Texas is having spring-almost-summer weather. High 80Fs and breezy. Showers in the afternoon.

I have some kind of vine growing on a wrought iron structure. It is doing fine, and is showing off its ONE flower again. Now, I appreciate ONE flower, but how come after 3 years it isnt covered with purple blooms?

Around the freezing mark and nice and sunny forecast for today. The days are very short and I am looking forward to them getting longer again. I am sitting in my office shortly after 8 and the sun is just coming up now and will be starting to set when I go home around 4...

Hello Jaguar. The weather here is back and forth. A few days ago it was near freezing. Now it is just great. The A/C is even on now. Hard to figure out. Now, I am off work until Jan 7

Time for a weather update. A bunch of cold air from Canada has invaded our area. It is supposed to go below freezing for 6-10 hours tonight and tomorrow night, with tomorrow night's cold going about -5C. For us, that can be a problem. Time to bundle up my tropical plants or bring them inside.

From a cold snap(20F) to a unusually warm(65F); is this winter or spring?

Brrr. Temperatures were right around freezing throughout the holidays, which was nice and now we're down to -14C. Cold But at least the days are getting longer .

Last week summer arrived - the temperature went over 30C yesterday. Too hot for me.

This morning we are back in the mist and the forecast maximum is 20C.

Someone said it was 47 degrees in Melborne or was it Brisbane yesterday. Too hot for me. Its hot enough here around 27-29 degrees.

It was 42 here in Melbourne back then Clifford, think it was 47 in the north of the state. Its been a very hot summer so far, looks likely to stay that way. Makes me very glad we have air conditioning and a pool. 31 and sunny today, very pleasant.

Mere, please send a few of those degrees over my way. We were at -17C this morning with a nasty wind. It's up to -7C... Brrr.

These extreme temps are hard for me to imagine... 15deg is cold enough for me, and anything more than 35deg is considered bad too. -17 and +47 is just... whoa.

DX, you'd really be having a hard time here. There's days where we go from -20C to +10C in the span of a few hours...

This morning it's -19C (-28C with the wind chill) and our high today is supposed to be -3C.

Go Giants!

Help, I'm frozen and I can't get warm!!

It's -31C (-24F) at the moment, but with the wind chill, it's -49C (-56F). Brrrrr. TOday's high: -29C.. Wow.

And it's going to stay this cold for the next couple of days

Poor Jaguar, wish I could send you some of our warm weather. Very pleasant here today, 25C, just right to do some gardening. Its going to be back in the 30's tomorrow.

I was bored this past weekend and decided to play a little Pharaoh, first time in many years. Its much harder than I remember , but fun, I'm slowly working my way through some of the games.

Hi Mere

We're...okay weather wise. First snowdrops and various other bulbs are showing their pretty little heads.
A bit too dry, which suggests most rain will be in summer again.

We're slowly getting out of the deepfreeze. Yesterday we hit -11C, but that was at 9 am. We went back down to -20 ish for the rest of the day and right now it's -24C We're supposed to slowly warm up over the weekend.

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone here remembers me at all. From 1999 to 2001 I was a very active member and was actually on the staff as a Cherub. In 2001 I moved to Sierra Leone. When I came back to the United States I showed back up here for awhile (around 2003) and in then 2004 I moved to Cameroon. Well as of 2008 I'm back stateside and should be for a few years.

And what was waiting for me here? Caesar 4!!!! Holy smokes that's awesome! I just bought the game and plan on familiarizing myself with it. In the meantime who is still here? I see that Jayhawk and Merepatra and Gustavia are still here, but is there anyone else from way back when? And for that matter do any of you even remember me?

Either way, cheers to all of you! I look forward to meeting all the new folks and hope to run into some of my old favorites.

Ave,
Marcus Lindicus

Hi, when I came you had just left C3H (as it was then). I do remember your fancy HTML signatures though (Jayhawk's too).

Anyway, rainy weather here for the past few days. Even now it's pretty cooling - mid 20s. It's the perfect weather man.

Ah those fancy HTML signatures....I'll have to dig around and see if I can't find a few of those.

And the weather here in Texas today...well it was 60 degrees when I went for my morning run and we're expecting temps in the mid to upper 70's today. Lovely.

Hi Marcus Lindicus, welcome back!

There are still several of us around who remember you. (I don't know if they'd check this thread, though.)

Tryhard (a Pharaoh player) occasionally tells us a little about his experiences in Africa. Maybe you'll do the same?

Typical Seattle winter weather here now--a little above freezing and threatening rain (sometimes raining). But the winter has been unusually cold, with several snowstorms (normal at higher elevations but not here) and days of below-freezing temperatures.

Hi Marcus, I certainly remember you, 'very active' is probably an understatement of those days in the Recovery Room . I drop into the forums on an occasional basis these days to say hello but until last week when I dragged out Pharaoh again I hadn't played a city builder in years. I don't often play anything just for fun these days as I play/test games as a job.

A hot and steamy day here today, hoping it will rain later which should cool things down and clear the humidity a bit.

Listening to the evening news for Ohio; they reported a snow emergency.

Pft! Must be a few inches so I look out the window.

WOW! There is actually over a foot of snow on the ground.

I must look outside more often.

Nice to see you Merepatra. You too PCDania. You both bring back a lot of good memories. Brugle brings back lots of memories of me being in awe of his gameplay. It would be fun to visit those halcyon days in the late 90's, but darn my real life schedule!

Africa was good...but it's nice to be home. I think my wife and I may be done traveling for a bit. It's time to put down some roots for the kids.
