OK.. New thread

South Texas is having spring-almost-summer weather. High 80Fs and breezy. Showers in the afternoon.

I have some kind of vine growing on a wrought iron structure. It is doing fine, and is showing off its ONE flower again. Now, I appreciate ONE flower, but how come after 3 years it isnt covered with purple blooms?

Still hot here. And we actually had humidity. Not sure what to do with that... Although looks like today will finally be a bit cooler with 24C predicted as a high. Rest of the week back to the 30C range.

Changing from grey and cloudy to sunshine but some clouds but it's a bit too cold for my liking.

Another weird weekend. It's been mostly blustery, then Saturday it was nice, mostly blue, with the odd drop of rain. Now it's solid grey and rains.

hot hot hot

104 today, 97 tomorrow and the weekend then back to the 100 mark all next week. At least with the drought conditions the humidity isn't as high as it could be. Walking outside even for a minute feels like walking into an oven.

Overcast and some rain. Finally. It's about time we got out of the 30C weather here. Too hot for me.

just a bit over 100 degrees here, and probably close to 90% or so humidity. Got to love Louisiana

at the risk of sounding like a broken record (which we have for highest temps on record) its still hot here. 100 today, 106 yesterday, 104 the day before. No rain to speak of, hot dry weather.

The grass crunches when you walk on it and a spark from a weedeater caught a lawn on fire that made the news.

Strange weather...
It's more like fall than late summer. Some rain, some cold, lots of clouds. Luckily we did have a couple reasonably nice days over the weekend...

Sydney September

Mild with cool nights. August was unseasonally warm, quite a few days around 26-27C. Now that it's spring (spring starts Sep 1 in the southern hemisphere) its more like you'd expect., around 10-20C range. Winter was quite wet.

Sunny out today, although not that warm. Woke up to a frosty vehicle.

First full-blown pub night of the school year on campus tonight. Hope the kiddies keep it nice so I don't have to come in to work.

Low cloud and a few heavy showers - always welcome. It looks like our water restrictions may become permanent.

Two February days in a row. Like high summer here. We've only had 15mm rain this month and dust is everywhere. Its been so hot the past couple of days that you get a headache just standing outside. Never seen September weather like this. Its like Australia.

It's a bit cold here. Frost on the car and a high of 12C Summer didn't last long enough.

We had a week off, which started nice and sunny, collapsed into pouring rain and now cleared up again. Of course, tomorrow I need to go back to work.

We were lucky: this year it fell in a weekend.

A few sunny days from the look of things over here. Had some rain on the drive home yesterday and saw a nice rainbow as a result

Finally, winter is coming to the Firth of Tay. Temperatures have dropped sharply, the sky's clouded over, and there's a light shower of very cold rain falling.

About time too, because I was getting fed up with the unnaturally hot summer

We just started daylight saving on Sunday. Just as it was getting light at 6am now its 7am. Real pain for those of us who have to be up at 5am although I put my getting up time forward 15 minutes. The PTB decieded to bring DST forward a week and add 2 weeks on the other end this year. May as well make it all year round the way they are going.

Stormy weather here. Very strong winds, some rain, thunder and lighting, cool. After our driest September for many years if not for ever. We only had 25mm or 1 inch of rain.

Sydney October

A couple of days ago it was min 7C max 36C, with very low humidity so not at all unpleasant. Cool mornings and warm days are the fare at present. Sydney in Spring is God's country really, except for all the allergens.
