Sounds nasty Spemb. My 'bugbears' are horseflies ... I'm allergic to their bite & a small bite will blow up like a balloon & itch like mad.

*Shudder* I hate bugs with a passion. They are especially attracted to my hair when I swim outdoors, so I need to pick about five dead bugs out of my hair afterwards--Really gross! Once I woke up to see a spider scurrrying across my face. Quite gross!

In my part of the country we have a little spider called a black widow. When I was a kid my dad built an addition to the house for me and my brother. The problem was that this addition opened to the outside, rather than the inside, of the house. This allowed any number of nasty critters to gain acces to our bedroom. One morning I woke up to see that a black widow had crawled up along side of me and had spun her web about four inches from my face. Right there in front of me was that very distinctive red hourglass marking. I think I screeched on a soundwave only heard by dogs and spiders. She disappeared in a blink and probably went off to die of a spider heart attack. To this day those black, hardshelled spiders are my bane enemies.
