In some states (New York??) there passing(hopefully) laws that will make it so you have to adopt pet and not by them.Go through the psycological background and everything.

I agree entirely. This all boils down to the fact that at any given moment the cat can leave you and survive on its own.Dog are pack animals thet can only survive in a pack so they will obey your every command because they no that they are dependent upon you.

How can you exist without a cat.I love cats and the recent untimely depature of Sassy(very cool cat)was hard to adjust but I did it.(all the mourning stagfes in one night).

I have a black neutered tom cat named MERLIN. He is a wizard at opening the fridge. I have to blockade it with my veg trolley. He was born with only a stump of a tail and twitches it wildly when angry. There are some drawbacks to having a cat-- I have to steam clean the black hairs out the beige stair carpet-- a marathon job!, but the lovely warm feeling I get when he sits on my lap purring, makes up for all the extra work.

We have 2 cats (Rupert, black & white & completely crazy and Lucy, tabby, quiet & sleeps all day next to me in a box full of carrier bags). They are brother & sister & are about 12 now. We also have a dog (Jack, very large, very greedy, dark gold & white, cross between all kinds of things but principally Rhodesian Ridgeback, Labrador & Retriever.) He's about 3 and needs far more walking than he gets. The girls also have an adopted whale that ER, at any rate, always counts as a pet. She's called Zeppellin & lives part of the year on the Stellwagen Bank not far from Boston. She appeared with a calf for the first time last year at quite an advanced age for a first calf. She's adopted through the New England Whale Center in Gloucester MA.

I am owned by two neutred female cats, a black one and a white and black.
Also some fishes, number vary as they reproduce.
Should I add the hedgehog which lives around the house, and that we regularly meet in front of our door?
