Peaceville...
Population 18 (or so it seems Ė our soap opera doesnít feature non-core characters too often).

On the surface, Peaceville is, well, peaceful. But the veneer of civilisation is cracked and peeling. Things arenít always what they seem. Prepare for power struggles, lust, betrayal, love triangles, intrigue, hospitals and doctors and DNA tests and pills, mad(wo)men and basements, brain implants, brain tumours, hospitals, leukemia, hospitals, policemen and their longsuffering wives, hospitals, princesses, long-lost twin siblings, mothers-in-law from hell, burnt out car wrecks with charred bodies, clearly recognizable by their inscribed rings, blurred generations where the ages of people, their half-siblings, their children, their grandchildren are separated by ten years, serial brides and grooms, and did we mention hospitals?

Still covered in suds...(1):
Celt in Exile

All washed up...
Bobby Ewfield, aka Bengel, blown to smithereens, Night 0.
Gracie Keller, aka Supa Psyche, mason, became a human pincushion, Day 1.
Sister Rose Aimes, aka CenturionZ_1, nurse, killed in a hit-and-run 'accident', Night 1.
Father Patrick O'Reilly, aka Sergius Laudius, day cop, gunned down at the chapel, Night 1.
Sheila Davids, aka Nonchalant, madwoman, killed in a shoot-out with police, Night 1.
Dr Jason Melville, aka Street Hobo, doc, driven out of Peaceville, Day 2.
Bobby Ewfield, aka Bengel, dreamer townie, blown to smithereens again, Night 2.
Heather Templeton, aka Starkey, self-recruiting mafia member, unplugged from life support, Night 2.
Lizzy Tylah, aka Watchwood, mason, smoked one too many, Day 3.
Viktor Malado, aka Rayotep, crazy scientist, has been eliminated, Night 3.
Dot Weatherly, aka VisMaior, scum matriarch, has gotten her come-uppance, Night 3.
Timber Masterson, aka Sul, scum son, has died almost unnoticed of a wasting disease, Day 4.
David Scott, aka Debbie, townie, killed by shooting and hit-and-run, Night 4.
Maximillian Weatherly, aka Reckless Rodent, scum patriarch, has splattered very publicly, Day 5
Brady Beauman, aka Darth, cop, has followed in his father's footsteps, to his grave, Night 5.
Cliff Masterson, aka Niempie, scum patriarch, has been shot, Night 5.
Steve Scott, aka Debbie, one-shot vigilanted lynched, Day 6.
Daisy Masterson, aka Weave, scum matriarch, killed in head-on collision, Night 6.
Resin Weatherly, aka Kedi, scum son, killed in head-on collision, Night 6.

GAME OVER: TOWN WINS.

The Rules (stolen from Adder)

1. Check your email before posting!
2. Votes must be in bold. If you do not bold your vote, it will not be counted.
3. Please be attentive and unvote, if necessary, before casting a new vote.
4. Executions will require a simple majority of votes. Once a player has reached the necessary majority, his pleas are useless and any attempts to unvote will be unheeded. You may vote: no lynch Ė majority votes of this kind are necessary to end the day without a death.
5. The game is not to be discussed outside of the thread unless your role specifically states that you may do so.
6. Once your death scene has been posted, youíre dead. Stop typing. I don't mind an "I'm dead" post, but nothing beyond that.
7. Donít edit/delete previously submitted posts
8. If you have a night choice to make, it is due by the posted deadline. I will not wait for you Ė if you do not submit a choice to me, tough! No choice will be made. If you choose to not use your night action I would like a "nothing" email or something like that so I don't have to wait for the time to be up.
9. If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate Ė donít leave us hanging.
10. Remember, itís a game. Itís supposed to played. Itís supposed to be fun. Do your part.
11. Adder is god, but since he's not playing, I am the next best thing .
12. I will not tolerate any kind of quoting, word-counting, word-order referencing or any other strategy that tries to link different players' role emails or tries to confirm the truthfulness of a player or players' claim via analysis of their role email. If I had wanted you to know the details of someone's email, I would have copied you in on it. Any transgression of this rule will result in your instant death by modkill.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: I am having problems with my email - when I try to compose a message, it won't open the box for the message nor will it allow me to attach files. I have therefore sent emails from my old address, although I have had problems with it in the past as some spam filters won't let my mails through. Can I please ask everyone to add this address to allow it through their spam filters please (ovidius*at*mailbox*dot*co*dot*za, without the stars etc of course)? It is imperative that everyone is sure that my emails will get to them, irrespective of whether you expect me to be emailing you or not.

Monday, 7:23am. Bobby Ewfield is getting ready for workÖ another weekend has flown past and we're back to the grindstone (or is that millstone?). He finishes up, grabs his stuff and keys, and is out the door. He hops into the car and turns the key. It clicks, but the car doesn't start. He turns the key again, detonating the large explosive device attached to the bottom of the petrol tank. In a blinding flash, he is vaporised except for a couple of molars. The shock waves shatter a couple nearby windows and sets off the alarm of the next car, while the neighbours start streaming out of their houses towards the pall of black smoke.

Bobby Ewfield (aka Bengel) is only identifiable from dental records.

In other news, Street Hobo has been kidnapped by a madman. Being locked up in a dungeon, he of course can not be lynched.

Otherwise, it's been a pretty quiet night in Peaceville.

It is now DAY ONE!

Wow, I don't think I've ever been the first person to post before! And now I've said that, Rayotep's probably going to go through every game I've played, discover I have, and of course twist it so I'm a lying alcoholic philanderer

Vote: Vismaior because he's mod of the other game currently running, and it would be remiss of me not to vote for him at least once

Is that a role claim Darth, because if it is, it can't be possibly so, because I'm the lying alcoholic philanderer in this game...and I don't think Ovi would give two people the some role.

But seriously, one night kill and a kidnapping, I guess that would be considered a quiet night in most urban areas nowadays.

Wat!! nobody night killed Weave the first night...highly unlikely and most unusually, meaning only one thing...he's scum...can't kill himself. Or it could mean Debs can't kill at night.

hmm...first day random vote?

VOTE: Sergius Laudius

For not confiming like everyone else while still posting in other threads.
Got to start somewhere.

Or it could mean Debs can't kill at night.

Quoted from Debbie:

vote starkey for casting aspersions on me

as∑per∑sion
1. An unfavorable or damaging remark; slander
2. the act of uttering false charges or misrepresentations maliciously calculated to damage another's reputation

Now under normal circumstances a remark such as mine would be considered a good thing...saying somebody possibly can't kill at night, Debbie seems to think that's a slandering remark.

Having no actual knowledge of whether she can or can't kill at night, my remark was meant purely in jest, based on her own sig, but still her reply is of interest.

On the other hand, knowing that if Weaves turns up dead the first night, who's going to be FOS'd, she and her cronies may have decided to take out another equally strong player...bengel.

FOS...Debbie (of course, I'm always suspecious of her, watch your back when Deb's playin!)

What reply? my vote for you? The sig is meant as a joke, I've had it for quite a while now. Your remark was not in jest, it was meant to point your finger at me. Nice try trying to frame me for Weave's death, but that plan is old and tired and nobody believes it anymore.

I have no cronies and you and your cronies better come up with a better plan than trying to frame me.

About SH, I think he was protected last night. I suppose Ovidius has carried the protection through to the next day. Nice twist. I don't think he'll be able to tell us anything. I wonder if he can post or not? The message just said he was locked in a dungeon, not that we "wouldn't be hearing from him" Even prisioners are allowed visitors.

I'm aware of that, maybe not the best sig to have during a mafia game.

So you say, but your remark still is of interest, a bit of a freudian slip on your part and now you're trying to back track.

Even if bengel was the miller, it's not really of any use to us, since he's dead.

I'm not voting for now. I want to have a little more information first.

I've got a gun in my hand but that gun won't cock, my finger's on the trigger but that trigger seems locked and I can't stop staring at the tick-tock clock, and even if I could I would never give up. With a vest on my chest and a bullet in my lung, I can't believe I'm dying with my song unsung. Ah . . . StarKey and Debs butting heads. I've missed that.

To me, Debs' mistake in believing that Weave was dead makes me believe that she was not involved in his kidnapping. I guess it's possible that it was a calculated slip (Debbie is certainly smart and sly enough to pull something like that) but it seemed genuine to me.

Quoted from Nonchalant, post 16:

That's a good point, Non. It is interesting that he used that terminology.

Well, if we're going to analyse Debbie for slips, how about this one:

Quoted from Rayotep:

To me, Debs' mistake in believing that Weave was dead makes me believe that she was not involved in his kidnapping.

I believe that it is Street Hobo who has been kidnapped, not Weave.

And another interpretation of the 'millstone' reference - perhaps it refers to the Mafia habit of tying large blocks of masonry to people's feet then chucking them in the river?

It happens. People's playing styles change from game to game as they get different roles, and sometimes the different game compositions and sizes are also a factor.
