Hey

I have made a custom map with a text file but it doesn't show up in game Is it suppose to?

It's a text file explaining scenerio and what they will need to do.

Hi braddean1954, welcome to Pharaoh Heaven.

I'm not very familiar with the map editor, but I'm not aware of a way for a text file to be displayed in the game. What makes you think that it would?

Scenarios (and saved games) are often distributed with a text file that the user can read.

the only reason I thought was in the game you can read the objectives of the map. Then I read about being able to make a text file that pretty much does the same. Just thought they were talking about the one in game.

I don't get that game objective read in custom maps unlike the built in maps. So I thought maybe, I do a lot of custom maps so I was just wondering if it was possible or not. I guess not though.

Thanks for chimming in!

You are referring to the mission briefings, this isn't possible in Caesar 3/Pharaoh custom missions, since the missions are played as individual missions and never as part of a campaign. Zeus and Emperor added this ability for whole campaigns to be created, just like regular campaign missions, with mission briefings and voice overs.
