I have two troubles with my Itjtawy game.
On a previous try, I placed an Elite district on the east bank, but I had a terrible time getting goods to cross the river -- I'd set one warehouse to "get" beer, and it would take months for even one load to get over. I didn't seem to have much trouble getting papyrus to go the other direction, east to west, so I'm left very confused about what I might be doing wrong. There was definitely a warehouse near the brewery that had a "fill with beer" order, so there was a source that wasn't "getting" beer itself. I wound up abandoning that game.
So I retried with the elite district on the west bank. But now, when I arranged to buy ivory from Byblos, the world map screen (of which I have a .JPG) shows 0/4000 wood sold (though I am importing wood from Dakhla Oasis), 0/1500 copper sold, but the luxury (ivory) just has a blank next to it -- no numbers. I presume this means the city is refusing to trade those goods? This didn't happen with the previous game attempt. How can I fix the problem?
