I just completed a review for this scenario:
http://pharaoh.heavengames.com/downloads/showfile.php?fileid=61

I thought I was unable to purchase beer to complete the mission but did not play through the mission for many years. How am I able to view in the mission editor if a trade route ever comes available to import beer or barley in the far future? I know how to see if there are events/gifts that give you free resources (there were none).

you need to have the "edit object" option selected in the kingdom map. Also, you can't build something if you can't make or import it. Nubt and Dashur sell barley (they starts off closed. After looking at the event editor, Nubt opens in year 10 or 11 if you fulfill a trade request. (events 22 and 23)

erikkeatinguo,

This sort of post is better in the Pharaoh: Scenario Design forum.

Several family history missions require additional trade routes to become available (and opened and goods purchased) before the mission can be completed. Some custom missions (such as City of the Unfortunate) will be the same, and you should expect it.

In general, I don't think it is fair to review a scenario unless you have finished it. It would also be better if you understood how Seth's "protect ... soldiers ... in far-off lands" blessing makes it easy to win distant battles.
