When I break away from the campaign to do a custom mission, I go back to the campaign option and it seems to want you to start again, how can I get back to my last save of the campaign please not the custom mission

Hi Dean89, welcome to Pharaoh Heaven.

Most players would make a saved game (with a unique name) right before quitting a campaign (or anywhere else that they might want to go back and play some more). Then, when they wanted to go back, they would load that saved game. For instance, say a player was in the Ancient Conquerors campaign and had gone a bit into the Pi-Yer mission and but then wanted to try something out in the Sandbox custom mission. A saved game (perhaps called Pi-Yer-1235BCAug) would be made, the sandbox mission played, and eventually the saved game would be loaded and the campaign would continue.

I presume that you don't have such a saved game to load. In the future, I recommend that you make a saved game (with a unique name) occasionally, for several reasons.

If you are playing one of the non-Cleopatra campaigns (such as the Middle Kingdom), you may be able to get back to close to where you were by Resuming the family history. If you are playing one of the Cleopatra campaigns, that isn't possible.

If you want to start a new mission (but not the first) in a campaign, you can start the campaign and use the victory cheat ("Pharaohs Tomb") to advance to the mission you want to play. This won't carry over troops or monuments (which is possible in some of the Cleopatra campaigns) or personal funds. If you want to carry over any of those things between missions, I think you need to start the campaign over.

Thank you, so if I wanted to do a custom mission, I could first save the campaign name as that days date and the word campaign, so 2/7/19 campaign for example. Then I could do a custom and load that back up to return to my campaign progress?

A slash is not allowed in the name of a saved game (although a hyphen is allowed). The name is essentially arbitrary--anything that appeals to you is fine. (I typically make quite a few saves in a mission, identifying them with the city name and a number.)

You can have many saved games representing cities in progress, and go to whichever one you want to work on. (Most of the time I have only one mission I am working on at a given time, although I do sometimes stop and gone to the Sandbox custom mission to check something out, and later go back and resume the mission.)
