Got a question regarding trading by ship that I can't find an answer to - is there a way to determine what goods a trade ship will sell, given plenty of storage space close by and a high "Import to Maintain" # for each good?
Situation is that I want to build a big Baki with a lot of high-quality housing, and possibly with a high culture rating. Other than food there seems to be plenty of linen (edit: 5000 by sea, 1500 and 2500 flax by land) and papyrus (edit: 7500) with the biggest restriction being beer (5500). But if I push the beer limit (say 15000-18000 people & 4 senet houses) and want high culture, I could need close to the full 15000 papyrus each year.
The problem would be trade from Rowarty that sells all the beer and barley, because papyrus and linen imports could prevent beer from being imported.
I want a city that will run by itself so can't use micromanagement.
If anyone knows if the trade is random, or even, or proportional to the quota, or based on Import levels or storage space or anything else that would be much appreciated!
