Hello all,
In the Men-Nefer mission, I imported some fruits but I noticed they stay in the storage yard.
I selected the "buy" option in the bazars but nothing changed.
Any idea ?
Should they be transferred in a granary ?

Imported food only needs to be in a Storage Yard. Bazaar buyers will only obtain it if the housing needs it or if there is no local food in a granary.

I am pretty sure I build more bazaars than necessary and it's always just a rough guess how many I need in a particular spot. Like I mentioned, I don't use housing block templates that are often more polished in terms of efficiency, so I end up wasting some labour and storing more goods in the bazaars than I actually need. But it keeps the housing stable.
Could you give me an example where setup B is superior to setup A? I ignored food here, but you can add that into the explanation if it makes more sense that way.
A: 2 bazaars in the housing block, both selling pottery and beer
B: 2 bazaars in the housing block, one of them selling only pottery and the other one selling only beer
I guess B is more suitable for big housing loops or when you end up having lots of 1x1 houses. In any case, A could cover a bigger distance, it would seem.
B seems a bit of a waste because both bazaars have to serve the same houses, do you even need 2 bazaars in that case?

I was imagining something similar, yes...
On the other hand, if the residential area is that far away from the rest of the storage yards, I usually set one or two "getting" ones closer to it. This might work really well or it could be a total disaster, depending whether any of the goods are exported and where the kingdom road is, etc.
I am slowly advancing through the campaign and rarely build cities larger than 5000. I suspect the planning becomes way more complex once the city grows beyond 10,000 or so.
