Last night I played Behdet (normal difficulty) and placed one reed gatherer across the river from my main city with a warehouse set to accept ½ for reeds and ½ for papyrus. Used get papyrus commands from the other side of the river to bring the papyrus to the dock-side stock yards by ferry to sell it. I ended up with 4 papyrus maker workshops next to the warehouse and they still couldn’t keep up with the reed gatherers. I ran out of room on that side of the river since I had three warship docks there (with one on the city side of the river) so I couldn’t place anymore papyrus makers to find out how many I could support with only one reed gatherer.
I know all the other production rates except the reed gatherers. Any ideas on what it is? After watching them gather reeds for the 103 months it took for me to solve the scenario, I would be curious to find out how many papyrus workshops I would have neeeded to put a dent in their gathering capabilities.
By the way, it looks like fishing is possibly more productive in Pharaoh than it was in Caesar3 since my granaries had a surplus of 3200 units of fish with only 4 fishing wharves going. With all my homes stocked up with fish and chickpeas, the stupid food advisor still kept telling me that my food supplies were low even though I had fish in the granaries but no chickpeas. Guess he has a fixation on chickpeas or else he hates seafood.
