Thanks for your help people.
Now that I am done with Waset, I'm on to Menat Khufu.
I've been planning a bit ahead of gamestart, and I've noticed that it's possible to have 40+ floodplain farms. I think that I'll build 4-5 flax in the southern part of the eastern bank, then 8-9 pomes and 6-7 figs on the eastern bank. On the western (city) bank, I'll build 7-8 pomes in the north, followed by 7-8 figs and 6-7 barley.
I've noticed that I can only export 2500 beer and 1500 linen... So I guess that I have to stay focused on getting those exports away if I'm gonna get some money for the imports.
My plan is to have the landbased linen-trade in the southeast, while I have the Nile-based beer-trade in the coastal area of the initial settlement on the western bank.
I've also seen that bricks can be exported, but not made...
My plans for the housing is as follows: 4 big blocks (ca 1000-1500) on the eastern bank, and 2 blocks on the western one. Since I have both beer and linen in my city, I guess that I can try to get residences, since I'll only have to import and convert clay into pottery. With residences (80+ ppl), I guess that the populaton requirement (7000) will be okay. The other goals are reached too, since I can supply mortuaries and senet houses with homeproduced resources.
The food requests should also be okay, since I will have about 15 farms each of both pomes and figs. Is it wise to divide the food farms into four groups? (I plan to build pomes in north west, and central east, while I'll have figs in central west and north east) Wouldn't it be good for the people to have 2 varieties of food?
I've noticed that it's possible to build up a powerful military force, but will I need it? Also, I wonder why I can produce plain stone... (is it for the already completed pyramid? or was that a brick-pyramid?)
I now just wait to get started...
