Welcome to the great adventure of Happy Hetepsunsuret. A small group of us have gotten together via email and decided to tackle a mission that none of us have ever played before. We have a few goals and rules that we have set for ourselves as stated below. We intend to each post our progress in this thread so you can follow along if you like. Part of our reason for doing this is that we all would like to know WHY people do what they do in attempting a mission. So we will attempt to explain our reasons for our actions as we go along. We do this just for added interest (and because the three of us all have megalomaniacal egos and we want to see our names in print as much as possible) (Well, Ray has anyway!!).
We are playing on hard level and using Cleopatra with Pyramid speed up turned off. No cheats of any sort are to be used.
The in map conditions
Hetepsunsuret/Kahun
"The Glory of Pharaoh"
1382 BC
Humid Climate
Enormous Land
No Military Activity
Very Hard Mission
The cities can be built for beauty or functionality. Feeder huts can be used or not. It is up to each player if they wish to take the bail out loan or go into debt or to attempt the map without going into debt. Taking a salary or giving gifts to pharaoh are up to each player. There is no time limit or upper population limit. The Kingdom road can be left intact or removed entirely. Its up to each player. The whole city can be connected up or it can be a series of different sized towns spread throughout the provience. No rules on this as we all play differently.
While some of the burial provisions may be dispatched during the course of the game, it is a requirement that some be held in reserve for the final saved game. The last saved game submitted by a player should have all remaining burial goods present in the city so they can be dispatched for victory.
This is not a contest. It is for mutual encouragement towards achieving a goal which none of us have so far achieved. Anyone else who is interested in participating is welcome to join in as they wish and post how they are doing with this map. We are doing this for our own enjoyment and because it is so much nicer to have others doing the same thing at the same time. There are no set rules on how quickly each person must finish the map or how often they must post. However, we expect to post a status update for the end of each game year whether it takes 20 game years or 100. And sometimes there may be several years from a player at the same time but it all adds to the interest. We all have different styles of playing and expect that this will make it interesting. Our opening posts will include details of what if any preplanning we did before the first year's start.
We may also include details of requests made, when they fall due and the result of meeting or ignoring them. So if you don't want to know what happens, don't read this thread.
Thank you having this great forum available for these projects and we all wrote the opening post.
Respectfully Shelshula, Rayotep & Clifford

Win Conditions
80 Culture
80 Prosperity
75 Kingdom
12,000 people
Monuments:
Mausoleum
Grand Pyramid Complex
Large Mud brick Pyramid
Our added conditions;
Added requirements: population of 20,000 people (this is open to each person's personal choice as long as you reach the 12,000 needed)
Perfect coverage for all areas (Health, entertainment, education);
100 points for Culture, Prosperity, and Kingdom rating; and all 4 gods reasonably appeased.
We will make the military symmetrical by requiring 2 of each: archers, infantry, chariots, warships and transport ships.
We have made 8 palatial estates a minimum requirement as this is the jewel in our careers.
